I am booked for the era, Emma and Alice tests on Monday (🤞🏼) my clinic don’t sedate you for this procedure. How painful is it, I need to prepare myself!
I have had a HSG and a endometrial scratch before for context. Just feeling so nervous.
Thank you xx

Hi there, I've had all these procedures and found them pretty similar. In fact I think the era emma Alice was slightly easier because a) I knew what to expect and b) I took pain relief before I went into it. Like the scratch there's a sharp cramping sensation for a few seconds and then it's done.
Hope all goes well. The things we have to do eh!?! Xx
Thank you so much for replying! You’ve made me feel much bettter about it. I knew it would be quick but because at my clinic they do give you the option of being sedated I had got myself in a bit of a state! X
I also really struggled with the HSG so that made me feel loads better. I’ll obviously grin and bear it as I don’t want to be sedated for the sake of it + it’s another £450 at my clinic! 🙃
Aww it's horrid isn't it. The ERA is over quickly and made me feel a bit crampy like period pains but it was nowhere near as bad as the HSG. You've got this xx
