Hiya, are there any reasons I couldn't start going to the gym again after my egg collection? Obviously not on the day, but like a couple of days after? We're having our embryos PGTA tested, so it'll be at least a month or more before we have an embryo transfered.
This is my 2nd round and I've put on so much weight I can't bear it anymore! I've been walking and doing yoga, but I'm not burning any fat.
Also wondering if I can have a drink a few days after? I can't see any reason why not
I think they advise to be cautious with exercise due to the increased risk to your ovaries getting twisted as they’ll be swollen after going through IVF
Having a drink I imagine is fine!
as long as no signs of OHSS it should be fine about a week or so later but you do need to give your ovaries some time to recover after being grown way over their usual size and then poked and prodded 🤗 drinking should be fine once you feel well in yourself too! Xx

I just had my 2nd egg collection today and also fed up with the seemingly inevitable weight gain this time around. I was advised by my doctor to wait until your Day 1 which is typically 4-10 days post surgery, assuming all goes well. Hope this helps and wishing you an easy recovery.
