Hi, I had my first nhs frozen transfer around 2 months ago, it worked but unfortunately had a missed miscarriage at should of been 9 weeks but the baby was only 7 weeks 3 days, anyway I've started my second round for transfer, this is my last free embryo so I'm exceptionally nervous, I just don't know what to expect! I feel like I have expectations that I will at least get pregnant again but then that isn't always the case is it? And it's the fact that if this doesn't work we won't be able to raise the funds for the 2 package cycle until next year which seems forever away. I guess I'm not trying to ask any questions, just wanted to see if anyone was in the same boat at the minute and could go through this together as I really feel like I need that at the moment, lots of love ❤️
Second transfer round! : Hi, I had my... - Fertility Network UK
Second transfer round!
Hi Babyluck. So sorry to hear that your little one didn’t make it, and hope you had plenty of support. Yes, many do work second time, so hold on to that thought. Do you need to have any low dose soluble aspirin? Perhaps you are already on a blood thinner if not, there’s always pineapple core to help ptrvent blood clots and ensure good blood circulation. I shall be thinking of you. Good luck. Diane
Dianearnold: no this is where I am confused a little bit because she said all the medication worked well, she put it down to the embryo so she's not changed any medication only for me to take extra progestrone straight away, as at first I was only taking utrogestan and the levels came back a bit low so then they put me on cyclogest as well, but she's starting straight away with both now, if that makes sense.xx
Hi,
I’m in a similar boat - had a fresh NHS transfer in April but unfortunately was a chemical. Currently taking oestrogen for a FET which should be at some point in the next few weeks 🙂 we only get one go so unfortunately we are now paying for the pleasure of another transfer!
I'm so sorry to hear that it's such a horrible time, you see a positive test and think yep it's your time and then boom, we got a quote for ours and with the multicycle and medication it's around 14,000 it's crazy, I wish you all the best in your next transfer xx
Hi, I’m not currently in the same boat but I was in exactly the same position as you around this time last year. Unfortunately our second transfer wasn’t successful - it didn’t stick
My biggest regret was not pushing the NHS doctors at the time to make some changes. We did exactly the same as the first transfer (natural cycle, no changes to meds etc) but perhaps given it was our last try we should have put everything into it. I would advise not rushing into your next transfer and talking through all your options.
Following our failed cycle we waited a few months before starting again privately, both for financial and emotional reasons. We got 1 x healthy embryo from what was our 3rd around and I am currently 22 weeks pregnant.
Stay positive and sending lots of baby dust your way x
Congratulations firstly thats amazing that your finally there after all this crap! Yeah maybe I should of pushed a little more but I went in there with a list of questions and she was adamant it was the embryo even though it was good rating, but I don't think that really matters, I'm just praying this will be our one, thank you for the positive story there is a light after the darkness after all xx
