After round 1 failing I discovered my thyroid was under active. Since then I’ve been on Levothyroxine and today found out my TSH is 2.45 (it was 5.2) and FT4 is 20.6.
The doctor has given us the go ahead for round 2 but am unsure if it’s too borderline and no idea what FT4 should be or if it effects anything?
I really hope these numbers are the missing link!!
Does anyone have any experience with this?

You need to ask them for the range or can you not go on the nhs app and look at your results yourself? Your ft4 is a lot higher than mine which is good but the lab ranges could be completely different. I’m also going into round 2 after being diagnosed hypothyroid a month ago
We had it done privately through the clinic as we want to start on my next cycle. The doctor has reviewed so assume all is good. Ah the same as me! Did you know you had hypothyroid on your first round? Are you planning a round 2?
Still strange they haven’t sent you the range. No I didn’t and got my bloods done after I had unsuccessful on the first transfer and an early miscarriage on the second. And it came back I was hypothyroid. Getting my bloods done this week to see how my levels are looking after being on levothyroxine for a month. My tsh was suppressed so they could only go off my ft4 which was low
It is! Yes, similar to me. I only found out after self investigation. I’m hoping this is the reason for the fail and this is the key but who knows. Fingers crossed it’s worked for you!
Hi Kalover, have you read “It starts with an egg” by Rebecca Fett. I’m currently reading it and I will attach the recommended optimal levels. The book is so informative and worth a read for sure. I have learnt so much already and only 90 pages in. As the comment above there are a few things that can affect your levels, it might be worth getting your DHEA levels checked too. I wish I had read this book before stating my treatment. You can download the kindle version for £9.99. Good luck 🤞🏼 xx
I'd suggest you post to the thyroid group on this site. I'm also hypothyroid and TTC and have learnt that your T3 is the important figure to know, and also that ideally your tsh is below 2 to conceive. But best to ask (or read other posts) on the thyroid group to get yourself informed - they are super helpful.
