9dpt5dt faint line??

I am currently 9dpt5dt (which is my official test date, seems early compared to my last clinic who told me to test on day 15)

Top test with the blue lid was day 7, middle day 8 and bottom is today. I can see line progression but is it dark enough?

my clinic have told me to take is as a positive result, continue with pessaries and test again in 2 days time.

Anyone else has lines like this and had a good outcome?

There is definitely a second line. It might be worth using a first response one as the cheaper ones aren’t overly sensitive. If I remember the clinic ones were much lighter on day 11/12 when I tested as they don’t pick up the same amount of hcg as those early test ones.

Ive not had a test date as early as 9dp5dt though but would expect it to be fairly light, especially on the clinic or generic tests.

Fingers crossed for a clear line on day 11 for you.

Best of luck!!!

The clinic didn’t give me any tests and told me to use any pregnancy test but to avoid digital ones, so I just got the same type id used last time after conceiving my son through ivf 4 years ago.

I definitely have a lot of symptoms, but I know that can be from the medication.

It’s so stressful!

Hi there, sorry to jump in. I can Def see a faint line on your tests 🙂. But I saw your message about your clinic saying to avoid digital tests, did they say why? This morning is my test date, had a BFP on a digital test first thing but since then 2 negatives with a different brand but also still digital tests. So just wondering if there's a reason why your clinic said to avoid them? This is all very confusing 😕.

She basically said because they are black and white yes or no answers, she said the dye ones will show even if low levels are there and should gradually get darker as time goes on.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Hi Wbno. Well, there’s a little something there. Keep going with your prescribed medication and Folic acid, and test on the day recommended by your clinic. Good luck. Diane

Today is the day recommended by my clinic, day 9 🙈

Although it's very faint for 9dp5dt, it's still looks like a positive to me.

mine was faint on day 9 and day 10 was my test day. By day 12 it was darker

Wbno2 profile image

And did it turn into a successful pregnancy? It was very faint this morning (day 10) it should be getting darker not more faint 😟

Mine was really faint too. Could just about see it on day 10. Yes I’m 20 weeks now! X

Congratulations!

Mine was more clear day 9 but has faded day 10. Clinic said any line is a positive at this point but surely it shouldn’t be going backwards?

Wbno2 profile image
Wbno2 in reply toWbno2

Should also add it took longer for it to show today than it did yesterday

Lucyhannah1 profile image
Lucyhannah1 in reply toWbno2

Tbh sometimes mine didn’t get darker till half hour after. I’d test again day 12. Also can depend on the type test x

Oh really? I always thought anything that came up after the test window you should discard

Lucyhannah1 profile image
Lucyhannah1 in reply toWbno2

Yeah mine was positive I think if it’s been sitting there for hours. I’d def take a faint line at day 10 as a positive though! X

was it a day 5 transfer?

Wbno2 profile image
Wbno2 in reply toLucyhannah1

Yes it was 5 day.

They’ve booked my scan in for the 30th.

I think I’m going to test Monday as that will be day 12 and if I’m still not seeing any progress I’ll request a blood test.

I know it’s been a while since yo ur tests but do you have any pics ? So I can compare x

Can you get a blood test?

9 days does sound very early for POAS. My clinic give 10 days for bloods and 12 days POAS.

Definitely looks like it’s getting darker. I’m also 9dp5dt with my OTD on Weds (10th) so does seem earlier than my clinic suggest. I however caved this morning and have tested and got a faint BFP, but also nervous whether it should have been darker! It was a cheapy supermarket test so will retry with a clear blue I think! It has got me more anxious than the ignorant bliss of not knowing!

Fingers crossed for us both 🤞🏻xxx

Congratulations! Yes I feel way more anxious now, have you got a pic of yours?

I’ve read that first response show earlier than clear blue, I was also told to avoid digital xx

it’s barely visible when I take a photo but definitely a faint line in person, I’m sceptical and don’t want to get my hopes up but this is our third transfer and throughout 5 years I’ve never had an indent or anything so will take it as a small win for now! I can’t seem to find first response anywhere in the shops in uk! I think I’ll just hold out and test again tomorrow or Monday morning and see how it goes xx

I’ve ordered some first response from amazon they are getting delivered tomorrow, so might be worth a try?

It is hard getting a photo isn’t it, I can definitely see a line on your pic though 🤞🤞

Did it show up straight away?

I’ve also had a bit of brown discharge now this after when I wipe so I’m worried it’s over for me now xx

I did another this morning and it’s even more faint. I think it’s probably a chemical pregnancy at this point so I’ve lost all hope.

My clinic said I can pay for a blood test but she said to hold off and test again Monday at home and see what it says, then go from there xxx

Hi, that's exactly what my line looked like at 7dpt so it's definitely possible and I've just found out I'm pregnant so fingers crossed for you! X

Wbno2 profile image

Congratulations, did your lines get darker day by day? And did they show up straight away

Babyluck95 profile image
Babyluck95

No they got slightly darker every 2 days so I was very anxious like you that it was a chemical also sometimes the next day it would be lighter than the day before so I lost all hope but then by day 11 or 12 it was really visible, so don't count your self out yet! X

thank you for sharing that image, and you saying that sometimes it was more faint the next day does make me feel slightly better.

They’re not coming up straight away either which is making me worry, but there is obviously some HCG in there for them to come up at all, I’ve never had lines before in my previous failed attempts.

Although with my one successful pregnancy they were very clear and appeared straight away, it’s so hard!

Babyluck95 profile image

Yeah it also didn't for me, but my partner kept telling me its obviously picking up something and the amount of preg tests I've done in my life I've never even got a evap before so was amazed lol, I think just keep testing as 9dpt is still really early tbh and you mentioned your getting symptoms so just give your body time , I really wish all the best for you and lots of baby dust 🤞 xx

Thank you ❤️

My husband is saying the same, he’s saying I’m being too negative but I don’t want to have false hope. Xx

thank you for the image, and congratulations ❤️

My tests aren’t getting any darker and they are taking even longer to show up now, I’ve also had some brown blood when I wipe since yesterday afternoon. Looking like it’s a loss for me unfortunately

I am so sorry to hear that, I had a chemical in august last year & it was very upsetting. Be kind to yourself, sending love x
