There is definitely a second line. It might be worth using a first response one as the cheaper ones aren’t overly sensitive. If I remember the clinic ones were much lighter on day 11/12 when I tested as they don’t pick up the same amount of hcg as those early test ones.
Ive not had a test date as early as 9dp5dt though but would expect it to be fairly light, especially on the clinic or generic tests.
Fingers crossed for a clear line on day 11 for you.
The clinic didn’t give me any tests and told me to use any pregnancy test but to avoid digital ones, so I just got the same type id used last time after conceiving my son through ivf 4 years ago.
I definitely have a lot of symptoms, but I know that can be from the medication.
Hi there, sorry to jump in. I can Def see a faint line on your tests 🙂. But I saw your message about your clinic saying to avoid digital tests, did they say why? This morning is my test date, had a BFP on a digital test first thing but since then 2 negatives with a different brand but also still digital tests. So just wondering if there's a reason why your clinic said to avoid them? This is all very confusing 😕.
She basically said because they are black and white yes or no answers, she said the dye ones will show even if low levels are there and should gradually get darker as time goes on.
Hi Wbno. Well, there’s a little something there. Keep going with your prescribed medication and Folic acid, and test on the day recommended by your clinic. Good luck. Diane
Definitely looks like it’s getting darker. I’m also 9dp5dt with my OTD on Weds (10th) so does seem earlier than my clinic suggest. I however caved this morning and have tested and got a faint BFP, but also nervous whether it should have been darker! It was a cheapy supermarket test so will retry with a clear blue I think! It has got me more anxious than the ignorant bliss of not knowing!
it’s barely visible when I take a photo but definitely a faint line in person, I’m sceptical and don’t want to get my hopes up but this is our third transfer and throughout 5 years I’ve never had an indent or anything so will take it as a small win for now! I can’t seem to find first response anywhere in the shops in uk! I think I’ll just hold out and test again tomorrow or Monday morning and see how it goes xx
No they got slightly darker every 2 days so I was very anxious like you that it was a chemical also sometimes the next day it would be lighter than the day before so I lost all hope but then by day 11 or 12 it was really visible, so don't count your self out yet! X
thank you for sharing that image, and you saying that sometimes it was more faint the next day does make me feel slightly better.
They’re not coming up straight away either which is making me worry, but there is obviously some HCG in there for them to come up at all, I’ve never had lines before in my previous failed attempts.
Although with my one successful pregnancy they were very clear and appeared straight away, it’s so hard!
Yeah it also didn't for me, but my partner kept telling me its obviously picking up something and the amount of preg tests I've done in my life I've never even got a evap before so was amazed lol, I think just keep testing as 9dpt is still really early tbh and you mentioned your getting symptoms so just give your body time , I really wish all the best for you and lots of baby dust 🤞 xx
hello, I had my first v faint positive at 9 days - added my tests for you to see. My FMU never gave as strong a line as the evening (top tests are evening bottom morning) I had a 5 day transfer & am currently 22 wks pregnant x I hope that things progress well for you 🤞🏼💞
My tests aren’t getting any darker and they are taking even longer to show up now, I’ve also had some brown blood when I wipe since yesterday afternoon. Looking like it’s a loss for me unfortunately
