Clear Blue faint positive line

Hi all,

My partner and I are going over an IVF treatment and today was the "test day".

We have done other tests before ( not during IVF) and the tests were really easy to see as negative.

Now we had this one that looks a very faint line but we are not sure. Our clinic says they think is a negative one :( we are doing another test tomorrow.

I'm wondering if anyone had a similar situation?

Thanks a lot for the help.

Cheers,

Carlos

when was this pic taken ? Did you do any tests with another brand ? I can see a line for sure - mine on OTD was quite faint & I am currently 18 wks pregnant - good luck to you both :)

This was taken this morning. Its the 11 day after embryo transfer. No we just used this test brand for now.

We just bought different tests and will try in the next couple of days.

Congratulations on your pregnancy 😍

Thank you 😊

I found home bargain & bodycare 2 pk tests to be reliable too alongside the more expensive brands as a cheaper option. I am sorry your clinic aren’t being more understanding and are being quite dismissive straight away. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome 🙏🏼

That looks positive to me, but with a low amount of hcg in the urine. So I'd suggest you try again with the first urine of the day in 2 days, and see whether it gets stronger or goes away. Fingers crossed for you!

Just to manage expectations, I got a faint positive on testing day and the clinic brought me in for blood tests. My hcg was very low, but they still called me back in 2 days to repeat them and see if it doubled, as these things can happen. It didn't for me, it was a chemical, but they do for others. So quite harsh from your clinic to dismiss it right away.

Thanks, we will do that.We will test in 2 days and see what happens.

Agree, they were quite harsh they they said as well.

I just sent the same picture as above and they just replied saying " Unfortunately, its a negative. Stop all medication" ☹️

Lets see what the test says in two days.

Hi Carlos84, I had a similar result around day 10/11 in a previous cycle. I took different brand tests and all appeared similar - very faint line but definitely there. My OTD was day 15 and the lines had disappeared completely by then. It definitely looks like a positive result but as others say, to know for sure you will have to try again in coming days and see if the line gets stronger or weaker. I'm sure that's not what you want to hear but keeping everything crossed the line develops! x

Seems very faint but it looks like a positive to me. :)

I had exactly the same vv faint line 2 days before OTD and it was the same as Willowpark and raverg. My HCG the day after the test came back at 49, but the day after that a POAS was completely negative, so a chemical. I hope yours is different but if not at least something happened? At least that was my positive take on it 😏

Unfortunately, clear blue are awful and one of the most unreliable brands for giving false positives/strong indent lines. The best I found were easy at home strips or boots own brand early tests. I would suggest testing with a different brand and maybe see if they will do bloods to confirm or deny pregnancy. Good luck to you.

It looks like a positive to me. Test again in a couple of days and let us know! Keeping my fingers crossed.

you can’t trust these clear blurs in my experience. If it’s already your test day you don’t have to wait another day or 2 days to test get any pink dye early response test and see what that says. In my experience it doesn’t even have to be morning urine as you are past test day any time of the day will do as long as it’s been a few hours since last pee. It could be that it’s a chemical and testing the next day or the day after will help you see if it’s getting darker etc but again not with these clear blue ones as they aren’t really helpful for line progression either. I can absolutely see something g faint on this test got my fingers and toes crossed for you 🤞🏽
