*sensitive* BPF but anxious the test line will fade!

POAS warriors I need you!!! So I caved and tested early at 7dp5dt and got a good positive, next day even stronger on FRER with FMU, also got a BFP on cheap strip both days and a FRER digital. I have stupidly tested again this morning after saying I wouldn’t and I still have a good strong test line but I’m agonising over the colour of the tests! I have had a chemical pregnancy which was barely visible and gone the next day, so I suppose my question is are these lines too dark for a chemical or can any line fade at any point? (Please be honest)

This is the first real positive Iv had in 7 years of TTC so my head is all over the place! My fiancée has taken my tests away now until OTD on Saturday which I think is best! Thanks in advance for any advice.

Congratulations! Your lines look fab and they're definitely getting darker.

My clinic always advised to test every two days (of course when you're anxious about a chemical like me, you ignore this!). The reason is that because HCG doubles every 2 days, you often don't alwayssee a darkening after one day. I too had a tests on the equivalent of 14DPO and 15DPO which looked like your last two, and i worried they weren't getting daker. Then i compared 16DPO to 14DPO and saw the progression.

Of course nobody / nothing can give you the certainty we all crave, but these lines look really encouraging :) Hope you feel positive in the run up to the OTD x

Thank you so much for responding! Iv been losing my mind 🙃 you have reassured me, my test from today is definitely darker than Mondays when you put it like that! I’m not going to test again there’s too much anxiety! OH has hidden my tests now anyway 😂

How far are you? Xx

I’m a bit further ahead and just had my first scan today which went well and was reassuring! However I think pregnancy after loss or any kind of struggle means (sadly) most of your thoughts are about what can go wrong, rather than what can go right, so I still feel very anxious. How are you doing? 🤞 hoping the test is darker and you can look to the next step x

Oh that’s amazing I’m so happy for you! That’s definitely true it’s hard to let yourself feel happy and excited after going through so much isn’t it 😣

I actually got a noticeable dye stealer yesterday 🙈 I also had to go and pick up a prescription from the clinic yesterday, while I was there asked if I could pay for a beta as its not part of my treatment package, my result came back this morning at 265!! So I’m feeling a lot more at ease now and can step away from the tests 😂😂 x

That’s great news! Yes I’ve heard that at some stage test create a “hook effect” and not longer get darker / show positive, which I know would spook me, so it sounds best to stop testing! Will you have a scan at 7 weeks? I find it amazing that people not having treatment wait until 12 weeks! X

Yes I have heard that also I’m definitely done testing now I will give my spares to a friend to reduce the temptation 😂 My scan will be booked for in 3 weeks so I will be almost 8 weeks! It does seem a long time to wait for a scan doesn’t it, I couldn’t wait that long I’d have to pay for an early one 😂 x

Yes, I couldn’t wait either! It is funny now after so many weeks of doing things and worrying … we just have to kind of sit back and let nature take is course! X

Oh definitely! It’s a strange feeling for sure, there’s always something to change or new protocol to try and now it’s do nothing! Not that I’m complaining 😂 x

HI. Well, it’s looking strong, so I wouldn’t worry. Keep up with any prescribed medication and test Mon the day recommended by your clinic. Good luck. Diane

Can I ask was this a frozen or fresh transfer? Or natural conception? Congratulations once again.

Those look like good strong lines, so that's great. Coming from three early losses and two that lasted, it is sadly is possible for the lines to be strong, darken and then fade, but I think it's much more common for them to be weak or not change much early on so you're already through that more common scenario. The lines can drive you a bit crazy and be very difficult to compare though. I always get HCGs done 48hours apart as it's the only way to be sure so that's an option if you're worried. Or you could just relax and assume it will all be fine, and enjoy this bit, just depends what helps you most.

Thank you for your reply and I’m so sorry to hear about your losses it’s such a cruel thing to have to go through! Thank you for your honesty, the tests have sent me abit crazy today but I have managed to pull myself back into that positive mind space (for now 😂). My clinic doesn’t do blood tests which is annoying but I think il end up having them done anyway just to keep me sane. Thanks again for your advice 😊 x

Your lines look good! And you're using FR, that's good too. :) Relax, breathe. All the best for OTD. xx
