5dp5dt bfn, I think I’m out. Should I stop meds?

Hi ladies,

today I’m 5 days post FET (a mediocre BB blastocyst) and I’m getting stark white negatives on Easy@Home tests. I know these are reliable since I’ve used them for all my transfers (11 so far) and they always told me very early if was pregnant or not.

I collected 3 chemicals and 1 ectopic during my infertility journey, and they all showed up by 4-6 dpt at the latest.

I’ll test again this evening but I feel I’m out. This blasto was the last one from a batch of 5 and none of them ever stuck, so I know my chances with this one are basically zero.

The question is…can I stop meds? I’m doing injections twice a day (Clexane and Pleyris) and it’s a nightmare, my belly is really sore and bruised, I can’t take it anymore. I really want to stop, since it serves no purpose. My beta is in a week but I just can’t keep up the charade, since as usual it’s not going to work.

Really early for testing Best wait for OTD Try to keep yourself busy Vary site of injections if you can - may help with discomfort but continue with meds as directed by your clinic

Take care

I've heard stories of late positives (due to late implantation), so please don't stop your meds just yet! I know the chances are small but you'd hate to regret stopping... I guess if you're really concerned then the clinic can best advise x

Please don’t stop your meds. Testing at 5 days is really early (and a BB isn’t ‘mediocre’ - I would have killed for a BB!). I know it’s really tough, but try and hang in there if you can. Wishing you the very best of luck x

for a FET?? Defo not as a fellow serial early tester my son didn’t show until day 7 and all my chemicals and miscarriages have been a bit earlier but very faint so I defo wouldn’t stop meds before test day (I take clexame and lubion injections as well as pessaries so I know how much it is difficult) you just don’t want to have any what ifs at all! A close friend of mine had negatives until day 10 with a FET recently too!! I’m not saying give yourself false hope as I know that’s worse but whilst there’s still even the smallest of chances you may as well take it after all the prep etc for the round. I hope it turns around for you xxx

Don't stop your meds yet, maybe talk with your clinic and ask for beta hcg? I tested yesterday 5dp5dt and it also was negative I used FRER, my last 2 transfers showed positive on 6 &7dpt. 5dpt is still very early and while crazy doing research its less common to have positive then. I even found medical website with timeline for 5day blastocyst how long it takes to hatch, attach, when it will start releasing hcg into bloodstream and they all suggest the earliest between 7 & 9dpt
