Hey guys, I’m currently 18dp5dt from frozen and am really struggling after having two previous chemical pregnancies. My OTD was 2nd March and it was faint with a clear blue and has stayed faint pretty much up till Thursday and now has slightly gotten darker with these different tests but I’m not sure if that could mean ectopic? My clinic said a positive is a positive and just booked me a 7 week scan but I’m mentally not coping. Top test is 16dp, middle 17dp and bottom is today. Anyone had similar to this? I’m sorry if this is triggering to anyone.

Hi, sorry you’re going through a stressful time. Can you ask your clinic for a blood test so that they can have a look at your HCG levels? x
Thank you ❤️. I’ve emailed and asked again so hopefully they will let me on Monday, they don’t seem to be concerned but I’m just dreading waiting for a 7 week scan if I make it that far… I’ve been Googling too much 😅 xx
If your clinic won't do HCGs (my NHS one wouldn't) you could ask your GP or go private (in person or an online lab). That's probably the only way to get any answers and have an idea of what's going on while you wait for a scan. I also had two early losses and it turned out they'd never really developed so by the third transfer I just wanted to know as soon as I got a BFP. I also more recently had a PUL and the HCGs were accurate and reflected very early on that something wasn't right.
I ended up being referred to the early pregnancy unit as I had back pain and with a week of faint positives. My first blood draw was 26 then yesterday it’s 251 so they think I’ve implanted a week late from FET my scans now cancelled as they want to keep checking that hcg keeps doubling but I think we all know this isn’t going to be a positive outcome. I’m sorry for what you’ve been through, this journey is just heartbreak after heartbreak ❤️.
hi lovely I know from experience how stressful this time is 🤗 I found these particular tests didn’t really go all that dark but the other boots pink dye ones early response were much better at looking at line progression etc. the main thing is it hasn’t gotten lighter or faded away but it totally get the worry about ectopic and early loss 😢 a few things I did that are options if your clinic won’t do bloods (but that I might not do again)
1) medichecks online HCG blood tests-a whole lot of money and takes a few days but did give me a repeat HCG which was rising which after a certain point doesn’t really tell you much but if it had been falling I would have then had an answer at least
2) a private scan at 6 weeks which confirmed it wasn’t eptopic but I also got bad news it wasn’t progressing as it should and it wasn’t a great place to get that news in a private scan place and I had to go to my own clinic again anyways
3) I used the clear blue weeks indicators to see if HCG was progressing as it should. This made me an absolute maniac and whilst it was literally the only indicator that something was maybe not going as it should I spent so much money on these and had so much stress I never want to see one again in my life!
There’s part of me that wants to advise you to just wait until the 7 weeks scan if you have no symptoms of ectopic as we can’t change the outcome anyways so saves you some money and stress but I know that’s so much easier said than done and I didn’t take my own or clinics advise on that. I hope it turns out okay for you 💜 xx
Maybe compare the top and bottom ones to show the progression of the hcg doubling times. I think those two tests are showing line progression well. I don't think my Boots tests like these ones were ever dark. I used the clearblue blue dye ones which I found good & once lines were strong I moved on to the weeks indicator tests but they aren't always overly accurate either do be cautious. I'd definitely be asking for bloods to give you some peace of mind. Fingers crossed but I think those tests look good x
Get yourself booked in with DRs for beta bloods Tell them ivf pregnancy and you've previously lost so need to be monitored.
Good luck to you xx
Just wanted to offer solidarity! My OTD was 1st March and had bloods which were literally on the positive line (50 units, 5-49 would be inconclusive and they’d repeat in a week). So also been tracking with home tests and worrying they’re faint and only slowly darkening! Trying not to test too much as it won’t change the outcome and for me trying to keep distracted and busy til my 7 week scan (and holding onto hope) feels better for my mental health. Early pregnancy is so tough after fertility treatment so sending lots of love xx
