Day 3 only 4 cell division

This is our fifth and final round with OE. I had 3 eggs retrieved on Tuesday, 2 didn't fertilise and just had the call that the day 3 one is behind, having only divided 4 cells instead of 8 cells as expected at this stage. Has anyone been at this stage and that theirs did go on and grow to blastocyst ready for transfer?

Yes I had embryos with 4 cells that went on to be blastocysts in the end. One was a day 5 early blastocyst. Fresh transfer. In other cycles I had a day 5 and a day 6 blastocysts from 4cell embryos that were frozen transfers. At the time I was searching a lot to find out about the potential of slow day3 embryos. From what I remember once they are blastocysts they have the same potential as other blastocysts and your age is more important in predicting their potential

Oh thanks for replying, I'm anxiously waiting the call this morning to see if it's developed enough for transfer today 😟 I've had 5 cycles and the wait never gets any easier x
