So a little update since my last post. I caved and took a test on day 4pt then day 5pt. They looked pretty negative. Then 6dpt I started to feel a bit rough, like fatigued and just off, so I took a test and so the faintest lines. Now wishing I had stopped there!😔 as I carried on day 7 to day 9 the tests have all been the same and don’t look to be getting any darker. Even the clear blue test from day 9 looks the same as the day 8 and they look faint.
I feel really sad and defeated as even my sore boobs and cramping has all stopped. I now only have back pain and gassy.
last FET my tests from day 7 were all progressing well until I had a MC in 5th week.
Really really wish I had listened to my husband and waited to test on my actual test day. Now I am filled with dread 😟 and just feel so angry for doing this to myself.

Your tests won't look much different from day 8 / day 9 - you need at least 48 hours for the HCG to double and get stronger - and even then it's not always obvious.
Thank you I will try and hold off for a day or two if I can. Although day 7 and 9 don’t look much different either, hence the panic set in and even more so because any symptoms I had seem to be slowly disappearing. 😔
sorry you are going through test hell 😢 it’s the absolute worst. I know this is easier said than done but try to see if you can hold off testing? It’s ao difficult to compare when so early on and the levels usually are quite low. The clear blue lines look good! Could you get some bloods done as this may give you more clarity what is going on? When is your OTD?
Thank you! I will try and hold out for test day which is Saturday. My clinic only offer blood test if I test positive. So keeping everything crossed. I have gone down this rabbit hole of testing not thinking that they would not progress once I saw that first positive. I’ve spent all day googling faint lines which go on to be successful. Clearly not helping myself!😂🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
Don’t worry I’ve been there too it’s awful 🙈 you just end up in a downward spiral googling everything once you start. Do you have anything you can distract yourself with? Or get stuck in a good book or Netflix series!
When I was down the rabbit hole googling faint lines you get all stories positive or negative so it’s absolutely impossible to work out what will happen to you. Basically the only thing you can do is wait it out and then get bloods on Saturday if your clinic will do them to check your level xx

Hi Hopewhite, that’s a really good idea stay clear as long as you can! Testing so early has made this journey so much more difficult for me. Now I am just convinced it’s not going to end well for me. Breaks my heart as this is my last ever IVF. 😔 just the more I look at the tests the more I know what’s coming. Feeling absolutely devastated right now. 😔 wishing you all the very best for Monday! hi, mine didn’t look any different until after day 12 so try not to worry. It’s an agonising time, I feel for you. I had the same and then got a HCG of 1035 on day 12. I drove myself mad watching the lines but at the same time couldn’t stop testing. Good luck 🍀🍀🍀 xx

This is the first test I took on 9dp5dt. Your look as light as mine. It didnt get very dark until Day 13. But hCG on Day 14 confirmed I'm pregnant. Yours look promising!
If you compare the top and bottom one it does look slightly darker, sometimes hcg doubles every 72 hours instead of 48 hours so give yourself some time. Yours look so much darker than mine when I had chemical so you are not out yet! And I also used mmomed and clear blue - picked up only a "shadow" of a 2nd line, everything looked so much more positive with your tests! Try Boots 6 days early and you will definitely see dark lines fingers crossed for you 🤞
please don’t be mad at yourself for testing, when you tested won’t make a difference to the outcome and if anything will help you understand better what’s happening with progression come test day as you would just be doing the same after test day if you thought it was too light that stage. I have been in your position quite a few times and so far these tests look okay for the type of tests you have and like you already said you can have raring positives and miscarry like you and I have but you can also have lighter lines that progress over time and all be okay! The clearblue ones are very positive and the strips I do see progression so hang on to some hope lovely and test whenever you want or not at all now until test day whichever way you need to, there’s no prizes for not testing it’s your pee and ‘test day’ is just a made up day by the clinic! 🤗🤞🏽 xx
your clear blue tests look pretty good to me ! I didn’t really see much change in my lines until day 10 onwards and even at day 10 they weren’t very strong and I often found for me that they were much stronger in the evenings x lots of luck x
thank you all so much for you messages. It’s really comforting at times like this. 😔 I just knew something wasn’t right as last night I had awful cramps and back pain which is the exact same pain I get few days before my period. and no other symptoms I am convinced this is going to unfortunately be a chemical.
I tested again this morning and my 10dpt and the tests even lighter than 9dpt. The clear blue tests I don’t trust much as I have read that they can be evaporation lines (this photo is taken an hour after testing). They too are faint. I will of course carry on with my meds and test again on Saturday but I am prepared for the worst. 😔 thank you all so much xxx❤️
Top two CB tests are from this morning and the top strip is 9dpt and bottom strip is 10dpt.
Can you get a First Response or a pink dye test? They seem to be much more reliable. Those strip tests are notoriously bad and not massively sensitive and the Clear Blue are just awful.
Hiya Millbanks, I have just ordered some. The first response ones are like nearly £18 for two now. It’s madness. Wouldn’t be able to serial test with those at that price!😂
I did the same, especially at the point you are now. I tested every morning and it made me feel crazy. Try comparing every other day as that might show more of a difference. My line only really got darker 12dpt and it still took a while before the line was as dark as the control on my easy at home tests.. before then they all looked the same with barely any progression. I'm now 7 weeks with a strong heartbeat. You could still be in the game 🤞🏼I heard that frozen cycles sometimes take a bit longer for your hcg to rise which is why naturally conceived progression lines seem to get darker quicker x
Thank you, that is comforting to hear. I think because last time the lines were so dark so quickly and progressing each day I have been comparing it to that. Although that didn’t end well, i was still hopeful. This time around not seeing them getting any darker has just hit me hard. Don’t want to get my hopes up but at the same time don’t want to rule anything out. I just now need to get a more information . Unfortunately my blood test won’t be until Monday if I still test positive on Saturday. So another few agonising days. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
I get it, I've soent more time than I'd like to admit crying down the phone to the clinic after obsessing over my lines. Keep yourself busy, keep your hands busy when you can so you're not able to scroll on your phone. I obsessively Google everything and it's exhausting! And so hard not to conplare yourself to others.
