support groups/meeting other people going through IVF

hello everyone,

Hope you’re all doing well today. I just wondered if anyone had any ideas about support groups or meet ups in central or north London. I’m feeling quite alone and isolate just now.

whilst this forum does really help, I’d love to meet some people going through this. I’ve got friends and family who are wonderful, and realise I’m lucky… but I’d really love to meet some people who get IVF in the way you maybe only can when you go through it.

Hi PinkCat, I’m not aware of any specific support groups for meet ups, but I am London based and would happily love to meet up with anyone to support each other going through ivf… happy to pick up on DM if you would like. Xx

Laurapax PinkCat22 keepfaith1982 , hello all, totally agree with you Pinkcat and although I have a good group of close girlfriends who are supportive, deep down I know they’ll never quite understand. I have often thought it would be super to meet up with others on the journey who really get how tough it is.

I work in Central London and my partners family is North London so frequent they’re a fair bit. xxx

I really recommend the Peanut app. It’s designed for mums, or people TTC and It’s great for making friends and you can see where they are based to find local people. I have about 5 friends who all went through IVF that I met on there who are local to me.

Hi PinkCat22, I have gone through a really tough journey and while my family is quite supportive they live far away from me and I have only told one friend who doesn’t quite understand what I am going through. I always thought it would be so nice to meet other women on this forum who would understand my journey and share our experiences and your message really read my mind. I would love meet up with you and other women on this forum in central/ North London. I live in North West London.
