Acupuncture and IVF
Hey I have looked into acupuncture and actually booked two session next week on my FET day. (A session before and after my transfer) there’s some info online where it does say good to pair acupuncture with fertility treatment, so trying it out for the first time xx
Me too! I’m trying it for the first time this transfer! Are you having 2 sessions on the same day?
Hey Doodlebug23 yes, I’m having both sessions on the day. I wasn’t expecting to but the acupuncturist suggested it. I only agreed if she could book me in really early so I’m not rushing between her and my clinic with a full bladder! x
I’ve just started fertility acupuncture and am really enjoying it so far! It’s super relaxing and the lady that does it is so nice and knowledgeable! I plan to go once a week until transfer in April x
I’ve had a couple of acupuncture sessions already and another two booked before transfer and one for after transfer. Not sure if it’s ‘working’ but I enjoy it and always walk out the building less anxious and less stressed xx
How long after transfer are you having your session? Mines booked for 6 days after and I’m worried it’s too late 😳
I did acupuncture throughout my treatments, I think there are so many variables at play it’s hard to know whether it makes a difference or not. It felt good and relaxing through this stressful journey, which is why I continued throughout. Good luck x
I had fertility acupuncture 2 weeks before my transfer and it worked for me. My therapist said that I should have started it sooner but I didn't find out about it in time. It really helped with anxiety and helped me to relax during treatment. I highly recommend it!
Good luck with your journey x
I had acupuncture starting from the day of my stims all the way up to the day before transfer. I do recommend it - best of luck!
I did it with a few of my transfers (none were successful, struggled with implantation). I had two successful ones (one mc, one now 28 weeks), and didn't use acupuncture with these. There are soooo many variables it's so hard to know!
I have done it twice in lead up to and on day of transfer. I loved it and was successful both times xx
I started mine yesterday. The therapist check my general health and recommended changes on my eating habits. She suggested me three first sessions to do them in 4 days apart and then continue 7 more every week.
Totally recommend acupuncture. I have had regular acupuncture about once a fortnight for the last few years and it’s really supported me throughout treatment. I found it was also so helpful when navigating symptoms of meds from heachache and cramp etc and is very effective. Its also helped when I’ve had insomnia to. Like others have said I feel so much more relaxed after a treatment. I haven’t had a success yet but I do know I wouldn’t have got anywhere near this far without my acupuncturist help, she’s amazing.
