So today I had my follow up appt after 5th failed transfer. Was hoping mr Dr would suggest something new and boy has he done that! 😊😊
5th transfer I had HCG wash before transfer but no other additional tests/treatments.
This time I’m having clexane injections, prednisolone, oestrogen patches instead of tablets, HCG wash, embryo glue, and a 3D scan before transfer to look for uterine contractions - which can be treated there and then.
I feel like they are throwing everything at it! 😊😊
I’m also having double transfer again. So this will be embryos 7 and 8 🤞🏼 🤞🏼
Anyone have any positive experiences of these additional things? I feel like there’s nothing more they can try (ERA and endo scratch and testing are not for me). If this doesn’t work I guess we go again but I’m going to struggle to stay positive….
Anyway, for now I’m feeling positive 👶🏼 ✨ 💖

hello! No experience in the blood thinners myself but just wanted to say that it sounds great that they are proposing a lot of changes for you. I have done the patches before and will be doing patches and pills for this next transfer and I’m also going to be doing prednisolone for this FET so 🤞🏼 for us both. X
I had a double transfer once but only had 1 embryo left after, as much as they may recommend it or your own research I think for us, and it's just our experience we had signs of implantation but a chemical. With recurrent failed transfers. So I wish I'd had a single transfer as that other embryo may have been the one. And it gave us one more chance at hope and success. There are also risks attached to twin pregnancies which is something to b mindful off xxx ❤️❤️❤️ sending you so much love and hope for the new year 🤞🤞🤞🤞one step closer to your BFp Xxxx
My clinic were reluctant to do double transfer until 5th - still BFN. Transfer 4 was chemical for me. My clinic are ok with double transfer, it’s the multiples element they are concerned about.
I have 4 frosties so after this double still 2 more for future if needed, plus another egg retrieval on my plan x
I’m using DE and haven’t had recurrent loss so I don’t think ALICE is for me. EMMA - I am now taking probiotics recommended by Zita West so rather than do a test (which tbh I can’t afford anyway) I’m just taking the supplements. If my clinic recommended any more tests I would have them, but then they would be included in my package.
clexane has helped us with implantation (sadly I’ve miscarried them most likely due to embryo) but I do think the clexane made a difference to getting us at least halfway there! Good luck with your transfer xx
That’s good to hear! I’m a bit surprised/disappointed they haven’t tried it before due to its low cost. My donors are only early 20’s and been through lots of tests so hopefully my ratio of abnormal embryos is low x
I didn’t have it on my first round where I was successful after 3 transfers they only introduced it after several failed transfers trying for a sibling so I don’t think they always do it straight away. they can do the test to see if you defo need it but I just said to give me it anyways as the tests were just another delay so I will just add it in from now on as seems to be at least implanting now vs BFNs! Clinic are more than happy that we keep doing that xx
I can feel the positive energy ! 🥰🥰🥰 I have decided to do a medicated frozen transfer next cycle rather than wait for a natural in Feb . When are you doing your next cycle ? Xx
Let’s hope I can keep it up! I discussed natural and medicated again and decided medicated for the control. Tried natural and BFN. My chemical was on a medicated too.
I’m waiting for my next period due 6/7 Jan to start meds. When do you start? X
I decided i don’t want to put the pressure on myself with the opks and just want to crack on asap . My period is due on New Year’s Day so hopefully transfer mid jan . Xxx
only thing I have to mention is added lubion? I’ve done all the above (except the hcg wash) and thing that worked for me (although I had a MMC at 7 weeks) was lubion morning and evening. Now feel confident we’ll have some success once we have the right embryo
I always have a progesterone blood test the day before transfer and get given a script for lubion in case I need it but the bloods always come back ok x
Do you have just pessaries or Lubion too? I’ve always just had pessaries and then progesterine level tested the day before and told I don’t need to add Lubion as levels are “optimal”.
I was almost buzzing after the consult, feels like they are throwing everything at it. I’m going to try and just be positive positive positive. I think one day at a time is a very good idea. Xx
Really interested to hear more about the 3D scan before transfer to look further uterine contractions and treatment then and there if needed. I’ve not come across this before, are you able to tell more about it.
Sorry that’s all I know. I’d never heard of it either. My Dr at the clinic told me that just before the transfer they would do a 3D scan to check for the contractions, He said that if they found them they would be able to stop them and continue. I didn’t ask how, think I’ll google now! 🙈 Bookbroad said they had also had this so not sure if they know any more?
Sorry for the delay, I didn’t seem to get a notification. A 3d scan is done exactly the same as transvaginal, it just produces a 3d image for review rather than 2d. I don’t remember this needing to be done at any particular time in my cycle, my clinical literally looked at the image for about 2 minutes before giving me immediate feedback that everything looked normal. Hope this helps, happy to help further if I can
Hi Doodlebug23, happy to hear the clinic is going to try something different this time! I wish you all the best and I hope 2024 is the year for you!! Xx
Me too! They seem to be trying all the things I wanted but they didn’t suggest before! Thankyou! 2024 will be my year! October baby come at me!!!!!!!! X
