Evap line or postive?

Hi,

I am 9dp5dt.

Took a FRER test and within 3 mins it was white so I threw it in the bin.

I then picked it up roughly a min or so later and saw a faint line.

I don't want to restest as I want to now wait for Friday which is my OTD.

Can someone give me their advice from the pic?

Hi, really hard to tell! Those lines don't come up for nothing so fingers crossed it is a very faint first +ve line. 9dp is quite early so it could be that, but if you haven't taken the test properly / shoved it in the bin and rechecked it could also be a classic evap, although those tests are quite good for non-evap lines. A really faint line like that could also be a biochemical - or the remainder of your trigger in your system if that applies - so while technically a positive neither of those scenarios is good news.

You won't know for another 48 hours (even if your test date wasn't Friday a change or clarification of results usually takes 48 hours) so I'd just keep everything crossed and wait it out! Good luck! x

I took a cheapie test on 6DP5DT and 7 to see if the trigger was still in me but the test came up negative.

Guess will wait till Friday but it gave me something to hold on to.

I really don’t want to get your hopes up, at first I didn’t see it , but when I looked again, possibly a very faint second line.

Should be darker at this stage but best just do another one . Really hope you get a positive xx.

hey Bosta did you test again? I had very similar to you so did a clear blue digital 6 day early rest this morning and it was a bfn. Feel very down. I know my lining is rubbish but the embryo was so perfect and tested I just filled myself with so much hope. Praying for a bro for us both x

I tested again and it came out the same with FRER maybe I should use CB.

I think free are the best but I can’t get hold of them where I live. I need to order online which is just another day of waiting. My test day is Saturday x

Normally FRERs dont have evap lines but I’ve been getting evap lines with some FRERs on Amazon the last year or so so Ive changed to boots pink dye ones instead. To give an honest opinion if this were me I’d say this is a negative test unfortunately and it’s likely an evap line as it showed up after the time and if it’s not an evap and it is HCG showing then it’s very very light for 9dp5dt but I would 💯 test again to make sure as you just never know. maybe with a digital one that says the words to clear it up for you once and for all. Sorry I sound like a negative Nancy here 🫣 but I just don’t want to falsely get your hopes up lovely xx

Hi, thank you I tested again this morning and the same line showed up but this time within the time frame which has left me even more confused.

I will try CB and the boots one too.

You don't negative at all I rather have honesty.

I’m really sorry Bosta I’d love to say what you want to hear but if you want honest opinions I’d say this is showing as a negative test result (I say that as it’s the test result you’re asking about, there’s always anomalies) 🤞🏼

I did read that evap lines don’t contain the dye but just waterline marks and are likely after the time. At 9dp5dt I think you’d be hoping for a darker line as you know your dates. When I had my chemical the 9day was still quite dark and only faded and changed to bfn after that.

Of course we’re all hoping that the test is wrong and it’s your turn 🤞🏼 sending hugs, we all know how hard this is x

good morning Bosta have you tested again today? I did a frer and it was bright stark white so I’m sure I’m out. I now just want my period to start so I can try squeeze another cycle in before my family holiday but everything goes wrong for me so expect the cyclogest will delay it and then the times will clash. I’ve decided mine was an evap line, I timed the 5 seconds for dipping this morning and no line so think I had the test the other day in my urine for too long. I have everything crossed for you that your lines are progressing xxx

Thanks you, I am so sorry, are you gnna test one more time as the first test I did was stark white 4mins ish it had a line.

Today is my OTD and will test at 7am.

Did you see any lines before the stark white test?
