Post receptive!

Hi my fellow pin cushions. Haven't been on here for a while as I've been waiting on results of my era, Emma Alice.

Turns out after transferring 4 lovely embryos, I'm post receptive so we've been missing my implantation window by a day. Frustrating and sad to think of my embryos that maybe never stood a chance.

Also very aware its not a silver bullet and I'm still battling my ripe old age of 42.

Still torn about whether to try again with my own eggs now or move to donor after I transfer the 2bb I have in the freezer. If I was continuing with OE I'd prefer to collect again before I use up that frostie as in my last collection, I only had 1 blast make it to transfer so time is against me and I'm worried about the 2bb not defrosting well.

Anyone had success after a post receptive result and what do you think about continuing with OE?

Love joey x

Hey Joey How are you keeping?

Can't answer re post receptive result, as mine showed pre-receptive, but on the OE dilemma its such a personal decision and depends how much you feel you have left to try again as the process is so consuming. Definitely no right or wrongs here. For me personally I kept trying with own eggs without setting a time when to stop but I just knew last time was the last time and I just can't go through fresh cycle with OE again. I don't know if everyone gets that "feeling" but maybe the absence of it means you are more gearing towards trying one more time with OE. Xx

Thanks skittles. Yes it's so personal isn't it and I just don't know if I'm ready to let go. Hubby wants to give up altogether so I figure if I can persuade his to try again i should put our money where the odds are better. But it's not that easy xx

How are you? Where are you in your journey?? Feels like weve been at this forever! It's 2 years for me x

“hello my fellow pin cushions” has me in kinks laughing 🤣 I’ve never felt so seen.

There’s plenty on here who saw a difference after the era test. I hope this is what works for you!!! Fingers crossed

Hi Joeysjourney. Hopefully you can try again and use your own eggs, always worth a try. Your little frostie will safely be waiting for you. Good luck. Diane

hello how are you? We found out that I was pre receptive so had transfer on day 6 instead of day 5 that was after 4 transfers too. I am currently curled up with my beautiful little girl after my 5th transfer. We decided on donor and I wouldn’t change her for the world xxx

Can I ask I had 39 days between periods they are suggesting if you have longer between periods you may be pre receptive and if you have less time post receptive. Xxx

Aw that's so lovely to hear Boo! Congratulations!! I just hope its the missing link we need. Also low on lactobacillus so gonna have to eat fermented stuff, as if ivf isn't hard enough 🤣🤣🤣

Interesting. I have short cycles 24 days and I was post receptive on ERA.

Hi, I was post receptive too, had to transfer 24 hours earlier. We used these ERA results for the next transfer (my 5th). We also decided to do a double transfer, they both stuck and now have my twins. I did also do the immune protocol and lots of progesterone.

I can't help much on DE as don't have experience of it. But looking at your history it looks like you are still producing good quality embryos, personal opinion but I would be tempted to give it another shot with OE.

Good luck Joey, sounds like you may have found something that will make a real difference. I think ERA results were really key for us xx
