Help… I’m about to have a major progesterone panic! 😩

So… after a couple of delays with some unwanted fibroids and cysts getting in the way (literally), we’ve started the FET process and I had my transfer yesterday. I’ve been asking my clinic to check my hormone levels for a while and they eventually agreed to check progesterone just before the transfer yesterday morning. They’ve just called me and said my level is 7.9 and not as high as it should be. I’ve been taking 4 x Cyclogest pessaries a day for a couple of weeks now and started on 1 x Lubion injection a day, last night. They want to see me in 48 hours to re-test the progesterone and see if the Lubion has raised it up… but…. I’m worrying that will be too late for implantation? I’ve had an implantation bleed that didn’t lead to a pregnancy lots of times and have previously told my clinic this.

Is waiting another 48 hours to test, too late to assist with implantation??

I’ve been so calm and positive this cycle, but I could honestly cry now 😢

I’d appreciate any advice you knowledgeable lot can give me! 🙏🏼 xx

Hi Hope

I imagine that the re-test timing is probably the earliest they could do to see a change and to see the impact of the lubion.

However try and think that you have had progesterone pessary up to now and now they've added an injection so you are now targeting it in two ways. This should help.

Try not to worry.

Hi Hope, lubion is quite strong and it’s great you started it in the day of transfer. Hopefully you’ll have a much better absorption with injections. I was on 2 lubions a day on top of cyclogest. Could you ask them to increase the lubion (expensive) while they wait to retest you ? Sending you love x

Hi Habibi, thanks for your reply. That’s a great idea, I’ll give the clinic a call. I’m sure a double dose tonight won’t do any harm, blood test is tomorrow morning. 🤞🏼

Thank you xx

It is good that they caught the low progesterone level and that you and your clinic know it is an issue. My clinic always told me that there is enough time after transfer day to intervene and improve levels. All fingers crossed!

Oh really, that’s reassuring! I was worried there wasn’t enough time to get the level up, before potential implantation. I thought this was within a couple of days after transfer? My clinic don’t seem at all worried - they never do though, even when there has been reason to worry 🙈😂

Thank you! Xx
