Has anyone had a grade 5CB embryo transferred and had a successful pregnancy? My last embryo is graded at 5CB and I have researched which says it is of poor quality.

Hi. They wouldn’t have transferred an embryo that they didn’t think was viable. The grades vary across clinic but at my clinic a CC was average and the higher the number the better. I had success with both my 5CC and 4CC!

hello, do you mind me asking if your 5CC and 4CC were fresh or frozen transfers? My clinic wouldn’t freeze my CC embryos x

Hi. They were fresh transfers. They freezed a 5CC and 5BC but only at my request as they said they often don’t do well with freezing and thawing. I thought that might be my last round as IVF package included FETs hence my request.

thank you , that’s what my clinic said , they wouldn’t survive the freeze x

My little 12 week old was a 4BC. My 5AAs failed. And she’s genuinely perfect… that’s not just bias.

I think now on the otherside a lot is guesswork and Tony variables… but you DEFO have a chance with that grade xx

Some clinics do not even grade the embryos But as the 1st post says they would not have transferred it unless they thought it was viable

Thinking of you

Hi,

I am in the same boat, I am having a 5BC transferred and I’m so worried as I know this isn’t the best quality and the lowest and final embryo from my batch, my specialist says they only freeze the ones worth freezing so we must be in with some sort of shot 😃 try and be positive, we might just get a lucky shot 🥰🤞

Good luck 😉 when’s your transfer? xxx

Mine is the last embryo too. I'm hoping this one works. I had three embryos. One ended in a chemical pregnancy and the other just did not implant. I have everything crossed for this one. I have my transfer booked for 12th June.

I wish you all the best with your transfer. I hope eveything goes well for you! When is yours? Let me know how you get on xx

Hi Faith103,

My most recent transfer was a 5BC and i'm currently 6 weeks pregnant. My embryos before that were both 5AA.

Please dont get too hung up on the grading xx

awww that’s so reassuring and massive congratulations. How are you feeling?

I am going a different route this time. Going with down regulation first. Is this your first pregnancy. ❤️🥰

wishing you lots of luck.

I’m currently on prostap to try and suppress my endometriosis, I think my transfer is not going to be until about august time but I’m so scared I’m putting myself through menopause and all this medication for nothing. I’m also worried we will loose the embryo in the thawing process, as we lost one this way a few years ago but this time we have nothing in the reserve tank.

Mine too, like yours is a hatching embyro, which I believe gives them a little head start once in the womb. Praying for us both.

Hard to stay positive but I suppose all we can do is try and relax and just wait for our results. Keep me posted. My first embyro resulted in my son who is now 2. Since him we’ve lost 3 embryos, one in the thawing process and two failed transfers, if you have any questions just message me. ❤️🙏🙏 xxx
