After my latest BFN (4th transfer - DE) I’m starting to look in to things a little more before we have our final frozen embie transfer.
I have read a bit about Aqua scan but wondered if anyone has had this and found results that hindered implantation? As Im going through a process of elimination I thought this might be a good start.
hey, I had a 3D saline scan before my DE transfer as my clinic mandated it. It found a load of things going on in my uterus that no one had identified before (had had a number of hysteroscopies, HSG etc) and I ended up having an MRI to confirm, then an op to fix .. and now my DE daughter is 7 weeks old. I would definitely recommend one, it’s not overly expensive (in IVF terms) and relatively quick and easy to do xx

Hi Daisy ,
Aww 7 weeks 🥰 what a joy.
Thankyou, I looked it’s only £500 and well worth the peace of mind just to know it’s been explored. I’ll book an appointment xx
hi Daisy1245 can you pls advise in which clinic do you do the 3d saline scan? And what did it discover I am curious as never heard before about this. Thank you so much xoxo
Hi Valal I have looked and most clinics are in London here’s a link to what it’s about conceptfertility.co.uk/2019... - I’m not recommending the clinic but it gives you details of what it looks for x
sorry only just seen this - it was one of those ‘take a paracetamol beforehand’ scans. It did hurt a bit at the time but I was told afterwards my uterus was so full of fibroids there wasn’t room for the saline! I don’t think it’s supposed to hurt normally x
Thanks Daisy - I keep thinking of the HSG exam where I nearly passed out it was so painful! Fingers crossed this isn't as bad because as you say it's the uterus (not the fallopian tubes)
I've got one frostie left, I've just had lots of bloods done got review on them on 24/06 then depending on what they say I'll have a saline scan done with my baseline to rule anything out before we start our last frozen cycle,
