Hi, I'm absolutely distraught. I haven't been well since egg collection, went today for my beta and I'm pregnant, with sever OHSS. They had to drain a litre of fluid from my stomach and I'm bleeding heavily now. They told me this is normal and that draining the fluid won't effect the pregnancy. Does anybody have any similar stories? I'm devastated 😭

Hi Molliemoo. Oh you poor thing. Your little one should still be snug and safe. So scary for you, but keep drinking plenty of water and watch your urine output. If it gets very dark and goes right down you need to be seen straight away. Hope all goes as it should. Thinking of you. Diane
Hi there. My best friend was hospitalised with severe OHSS and went on to have a successful twin pregnancy.xx
Hi! I am so sorry you are going through this I developed OHSS on day 5 after egg collection when I was supposed to have a fresh transfer. My clinic saw the fluid and advised me to do a freeze all. The consultant told me to take a few protein shakes/protein yoghurts a day to help the fluid absorb back in my body. It definitely helped. I hope your OHSS settles soon! xx
