Today is not a good day for me . Last Saturday I had egg retrieval with 20 eggs 12 were mature and 10 fertilized . And today I got the call from the lab for the embryos update on day 5, and none of them could reach blastocyst stage yet, so the last day is tomorrow... I'm so worried that none of them do. Right now there are 8 embryos on day 5.
Anyone on this situation that froze some embryos on day 6?
Yes, once I had 1 day 5 and 4 day 6. Please don't lose hope!

my last egg collection we got 16 eggs, 13 fertilised, we got 1 blasto on day 5 and 2 on day 6 💪🤞 x
I dont think they have to reach blastocyst stage to be transferred? Or am I wrong. Mine have both been transfered on day 3 and left to develop inside. Have they said you can transfere them anyway? Xx
Hi Maria, did the embryologist say how they were looking? The fact that it sounds like 8 embies from 10 fertilised eggs are still in the game and haven't stopped developing is potentially really good! They might just be that little bit behind. If the doctor said they're not looking normal, have lots of fragmentation etc then I can see why you'd be worried, but otherwise lots of babies come from day 6 blasts so I'd say there is every reason to hope at this stage that they are just a bit slower and you get some good news tomorrow. I really hope so xx
My current pregnancy is a day 6. I was told once they freeze them, there isn’t much in it . 8 still doing something is pretty good so I shall keep my fingers crossed for you for some for the freezer!

I transferred 2 day 5 embryos- one was only 8 cell the other 16 cells. And one of these became my son now 17 months!
Maria, really hope there’s a day 6 blasto for you.
I’ve had 3 x day6 blastos frozen and the third one is a charm as it’s stuck. Still early days, have a scan on 2nd June to find the heartbeat and check it’s in the right location.
I know it’s easy for me to say don’t give up hope, but I guess that’s all we have. That and self care is super important. Be gentle with yourself, you’re going through a lot xx
I had the same, I had 4 fertilise and all 4 hadn’t made it to blasts by day 5, I completely fell apart thinking it was all over, they said they would give them all another 24 hours and they called back the next day and said all 4 had made the freezer!
We had a follow up call and the embryologist said it is strange that ALL of ours grew slightly slower to day 6 but not strange for embryos to take 6 days to get there and doesn’t make any difference to the outcome as they put them back in on day 5 with a FET so it makes up for the day they are behind.
So keep faith, I know it’s hard as like I said I fell apart on day 5 but there is still hope and they’re still going which is definitely positive, they wouldn’t give them another day if they didn’t think they had a chance!
Hope is still there! Try not get too worried yet (easier said I know!)… we had 13 fertilized eggs and 3 blasts on day 5 and 4 blasts on day 6! Hopefully you get a few day 6 blasts too ❤️! Sending you all the baby dust x

Same here, was told two wouldn't make it to day 6 but they did in the end 
I had one frozen recently on day 7! And other on day 6. 🤞
