yes, several times. With an acupuncturist I’ve known for many years. No ultimate success yet. Good luck x

Yes, I have with my 4 FET. All resulted in implantation. While 2 were ectopic, the other 2 were successful pregnancies. I can’t say for certain it was the acupuncture but I really believe it made a difference for me during my cycles. X

I did acupuncture weekly for about 6 weeks before transfer and then approx 1.5 hrs before transfer. I decided not to do it afterwards as well, mainly due to laziness and due to the time of transfer, I think it would have stressed me out to be rushing around to the clinic after transfer. It worked for me…although I’m not sure if the acupuncture helped and it was just luck. Having said that, I’d do the same if I planned to have another in the future. Good luck for your FET.

I had this with both my frozen transfers, the first was the day before my transfer, didn’t have it after, the second was a day before my transfer and 2 days after (or the other way around!). I didn’t have it with my fresh transfer which was a bfp but early loss, my frozen transfers resulted in my nearly 3 year old and 6 month old. We try anything to give us a better chance don’t we, even if it could just be an old wives tale. I necked so much Pom juice too!

Yes! I spent a small fortune on accupuncture. I did it weekly for months trying naturally and then before my first IVF round. My accupuncturist came to my home on the morning of the transfer and did a session and then came back after the transfer and did another session. That first round did not work.

I did another round of IVF 2 cycles later where I didn't do any accupuncture. Mainly because she was on holiday and timings didn't work. That round I only got 2 eggs but ended up with success. So I am not sure whether the accupuncture made any difference overall but it was nice to relax each week.

I shudder when I think about how much I must have spent (and on supplements as well!) but I would have run naked down the high street if someone told me it would increase my chances of IVF working. Good luck xx

thanks for the reply, I’m in limbo still not sure what to do an it’s tomorrow lol. I’ve had mixed reviews from research, an I asked my embryologist a she said it’s my preference but a lot of ppl don’t go for it.

The acupuncturist took my details the other day an she said she will contact the hospital so they don’t give me an early appointment, I’ve not heard anything back off her but my appointment is 10am.

I’m just worried as I wanna do anything I can to help especially due to my age, I got 6 eggs collected an they called me the following day to say all fertilised which was brilliant, they then called me on day 3 to say 5 are going in the right direction but 1 was falling behind slightly. Apparently at That stage they expect to see between 6-10 cells but the only falling behind only had 5 in, so all in all I think they’ve done pretty good . Xxx

5 embryos going in the right direction on day 3 is amazing! I understand the worry and wanting to do everything you can. It's so hard when you don't really know if any of these things make a difference or it is all down to luck and egg/sperm quality. Sending you lots of luck for tomorrow! xx

Yes I did a lot to support egg retrievals - no success. I do have a friend who did it around FET time and feels like it made a difference. I can't say I would do it a lot again, but i would do a session right before and after FET. Good luck x

Hi there.I had it an hour before transfer and an hour afterwards. My clinic recommended it.I actually found it calmed my nerves and was very relaxing.I had been having weekly sessions for a year before hand back home and found it sore and not relaxing one bit.Must have been the change in acupuncturist that made the difference-clinic in Prague.I am currently nearly 35 weeks pregnant but I can’t say if it made any difference as I also had it before and after my first transfer.xx

I did - on the same day, before and after transfer. No baby yet but I did feel in a much better head space for the transfer ☺️ x
