Hey everyone, we’ve had a terribly rocky few years during our IVF journey and turned to PGTA to rule out one cause of loss/failure.
We’ve been blessed with two Euploid embryos from our last cycle. I’m really so very grateful to have them but to take the pressure off I’m thinking of doing another round in an attempt to get another normal embryo.
I’m sure I read that with three normal embryos there’s a 95% chance of birth? Anyone else embryo banking with pgta?

Hello! I did two rounds of back to back embryo banking with PGT-A testing after round two. We now have two euploid embryos frozen (both from our second cycle). If finances weren't an issue and I was a good few years younger (I was 43 at the time of EC) I might have gone for another back to back embryo banking cycle set but aside from the costs I did find the whole process quite draining physically and mentally. The risk with PGT-A is of course that euploid embryos get classed as aneuploid and vice versa, it is not an exact science and there has been evidence in the US of "aneuploid" embryos leading to healthy live births. My clinic, however, have a strict policy of not allowing a transfer of any embryos that come back as aneuploid. If you want to grow your family by more than one child it may also be worthwhile to continue with embryo banking while you're young as even with PGT-A and all the other tests you can do ahead of transfer (like the Endo Quartet) it is not guaranteed that every embryo leads to a live birth. My consultant mentioned a roughly 80% chance of live birth with our two PGT-A tested embryos. I read your profile and I am so sorry for your losses, you and your wife are so strong to keep pursuing that dream, I wish you all the very best and hope so much that it will happen for you very soon! xx
Thanks very much DreamingOfTwo79 I am planning on the endometrial testing too. It’s hard to know what to do for the best, like you say it’s not an exact science. Sometimes it feels like IVF is a bit like voodoo! All the best for your embryo transfer. An eighty percent chance of success is amazing xx
