Hi Mlove. I was going to reply to your earlier post then saw this one so doing a 2-in-1.
So with supplements my clinic suggest Folic Acid, Vitamin D and CoQ10 (ubiquionol version). However I take additional ones - a good Omega 3 and a pre conception supplement. I used to take DHEA and melatonin prior to fresh cycle too but check with your clinic on these as they're not suggested for everyone. Plus DHEA can be difficult to get hold of in UK.
With your post from yesterday, yes I am with you 100% as I have felt like it is simply unsustainable to continue at times. Especially feeling I have to watch everything I do and eat. Literally saps the enjoyment out of everything. I was so careful about diet on my first IVF cycle and got no eggs. I know that wasn't specifically do with my diet but it didn't exactly give me confidence in being so sensible. I tend to be more flexible with it these days, will try and be healthy most of the time but I will still have a meal out or a takeaway and my biggest vice is chocolate. I too get those guilty feelings afterwards but I try and ignore them as it is important we don't deprive ourselves of everything xx
I took the CoQ10 200ml one a day leading up to egg collection but I know there is ubiquinol version (which CoQ10 will need to covert to). Ubiquinol is what you want if egg/sperm quality is bad and need improvement. It’s the most effective.
Our clinic recommended Proxeed for women and men. I also took extra CoQ10 in the form of ubiquinol, Vitamin D spray and probiotics (oral and vaginal). Good luck!
I would definitely take R alfa lipoic acid as well
Hey lovely, our consultant recommended Inofolic alpha for me and Impryl for partner which we took for approx 3 months before treatment! I also took the ‘Inessa Pregnancy Multinutrient‘ at the same time which I absolutely hated because of the smell but still managed it somehow 😂
I have absolutely no idea if they worked but our first cycle was successful. I’m just coming to 19 weeks with the one we transferred and have 4 blasts in the freezer. I tried to be as healthy as I could before/after transfer but did still eat treats etc! Good luck!! ❤️ X
