I have this growing sense of dread that this cycle is not going to go well. $10 k about to go down the drain. I feel like it in our case, we need more numbers for better success rates. Im 40, so higher chance of abnormal eggs. We also need ICSI which carries a higher risk of damaging eggs. So 2 at best 4 eggs doesn’t seem enough to overcome all these risks.
Any similar situations with positive stories?

hi it’s awfully disheartening. I was in this last year with similar predicament looking at different clinics for next cycle. Has the dr suggested cancelling cycle and starting afresh next month or trying iui. I only had 2/3 follicles with my last scan before egg collection and got 7 eggs. 3 fertilised- 1 day 5 blastocyst and 1 day 6 blastocysts. Transferred day 5 blast and she’s 4 months old. We also had icsi and I’m 40 with PCOS . There still time for it to change stay positive.
wow thank you. This has given me some hope! I have only seen the nurses and they haven’t suggested cancelling. My egg collection is in the next hour! Wish me luck!
Hi there.I had only 2 follicles on my last collection.(also had 2 smaller ones but they were empty)Both eggs were mature and we ended up with 2 embryos which were transferred on day 3 and I’m now currently nearly 27 weeks pregnant with our rainbow baby 🌈 .Wishing you the best of luck.xx
wowee that’s amazing!!!! Have you found out how many have fertilised or are you freezing? We’re waiting for our day 3 call for our only fertilised egg 🥹🤞🏼 x
I am celebrating the numbers with caution. We won’t know how many have fertilised until the embryologist calls us tomorrow😓. Hang in there little embaby! Do you think you’ll have a 3 day transfer??? Xx
it’s hard not to get too excited isn’t it, we weren’t cautious enough and were devastated when we found out only 1 of our 6 fertilised 🥹 sadly they don’t transfer day 3’s (NHS) so we have to pray for a day 5. The wait is killing us!!
I have everything crossed for your call tomorrow 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 xxx
