hi everyone, hope you’re all going ok. I’ve started my Fyremedal injections & for someone who has a needle phobia, these are not great! Not looking for a magic answer, but how does everyone cope with the sting? 🫣

Fyremedal injections
Funny you shou6say that. I've been injecting for last 6 days and I'd say 50% have given me stinging feeling. Don't think it matters what side. I've been massaging my lower belly (apparently it disperses the injection), which seems to be helping. I'm wondering if the sting is the muscle reacting.
Elsidee11 Hope it's going well otherwise 🙏🤞🤗
so bizarre, it really makes the Ovaleap pen feel like a breeze. I’ve seen some ivf Instagram accounts and their needles look about three times the length of Fyremadel 👀 I was wondering what an earth they were and telling myself ‘it could be worse’. Lol.
Ice and a masssage tomorrow then 😆🫠 thank you! X
Placing an ice cube on the area you are about to inject for a few seconds then after injecting press a cotton wool ball firmly over the injection site for at least a minute. This can reduce the bruising and stinging. X
ice it is!! Thank you!! X
omg ice was a game changer!!!!!
Glad it helped! Good luck with the rest of your treatment x
OMG these were the worse! I used the gonal-f pen and menopur which were both quite thin and easy but I swear the feramedal were the thickest needles ever and sometimes the needles seemed to be diagonal rather than straight. I remember pinching my fat and pushing them into my fat belly and sometimes they wouldn't go in. Was bizzare. I found the only thing that reduced the pain for me was finding a nice fat bit of my gut and squeezing it hard while inserting the needle. Good luck xx
oh Jane I was reduced to tears this morning!! They are so thick 😆 and painful, the thought of another one going in makes me shudder - just 6 more to go 🥲
I’m going to try the ice and grab a big bit of fat. My husband said to me ‘good job you’ve not been exercising as much’ 😆🫣 luckily I have some fat to grab, I couldn’t imagine having none!! Gosh the things we do!!
Noooo - they are the worse ones. Made me so grateful that I have always had a decent roll on my tummy. Good luck for later. I found that some bits were weirdly painful and others not so bad so I just kept prodding until it didn't hurt so much. Was basically a pin cushion. My husband has a needle phobia so he would watch to try and get over it but the fyramadel was a step too far for him. haha xx
