NK cell testing

Hi all, I’ve been reading about NK cells and wonder if this is the reason I am not getting pregnant. We are doing a FT in a months time and I’m wondering whether I should do an NK test before hand. May seem a bit rash but I’m keen to throw the kitchen sink at it as I’m so worried my body will just reject anything. Both nearly 35 with unexplained infertility.

I had the biopsy done at Coventry because I kept having miscarriges and my two IVF transfers failed. If you are throwing everything at it I would recomend it and I strongly believe the medication I took for High NK cells (you can have too low also which is different meds) is the reason why I now have my son xx

Can I ask what medication they put you on? I was put in prednisolone for my last FET. I had the ERA recently so am reluctant to have another month of no trying and a biopsy. The NK test is about the last test I could do. I’ve not ruled it out yet. Thanks x

Hi Rhea. More often than not it is reserved for people who have had a few failed attempts or miscarriages. Have a word with your clinic and see what they recommend. Good luck! Diane

yes I was on prednisolone for high NK cells
