13 Follicles on Day 5

Hi I had 13 follicles on my Day 5 scan, going in for Day 9 scan tomorrow. How many eggs is it likely that I will get/ fertilise? I’m so worried

13 was a good amount for day 5 scan they should have grown a bit more and there may a couple more follicles also Average amount can vary between 8-14 The clinic will be able to explain it fully to you after your scan- if still worried remember you can ask questions

It varies so much but you've got a good number to start with. They say the number you get tend to halve by day 5. My first EC I got 7 eggs and all 7 made it to day 5 but 2 weren't suitable for freezing. My recent EC I got 11 eggs, 10 fertilised, 8 on day 3 and then 3 by day 5 so it's really difficult to guess

I had 14 follicles. 12 eggs retrieved 12 eggs of which 6 were mature. 4 fertilised at day 1 and 2 made it to day 5. Of the 2 they transferred one and I’m currently waiting for my 7 week scan.

Like you I was so worried that my numbers were not good but this community reassured me it’s not about the numbers it’s all about the quality even if only one egg makes it that could be the one.
