Managing fertility treatment day-day

Hi everyone,

We've started our journey and I'm currently on 8 tables a day... moving to 10 from tomorrow before the next phase. It's quite overwhelming!

How do you manage the treatment and the emotional rollercoaster day-day? It feels that sometimes me and my partner are on different emotional wavelengths as he's not thinking about it as much as me. I'm feeling a lot of pressure!

I also feel like we're not going to be able to do anything fun next year! I know that seems so trivial but the idea that I'll have to be going to the clinic every week or so for infusions and scans etc makes me feel slightly trapped - is that normal? We can't really book anything in advance as the infusions and scans are dependent on where I am in my cycle and we all know how unpredictable that can be.

How do you ensure you get to do fun things whilst having treatment and are there any things you would recommend we do together that doesn't involve anything fertility related?

Thanks in advance for any tips and tricks for managing this rocky road xx

Hi, when actively going through treatment you are at the hospital a couple times per week some weeks, others maybe just once. Mostly visits are done early morning so you have the rest of the day. Holidays for me didn't get planned for the month we were doing treatment but i did otherwise live a normal life: catch up with friends, concerts etc just without the alchol! Good luck.
