2nd day of stims-3rd egg collection getting the butterflies 🦋 anyone else at a similar stage?

So nervous! starting stims for 3rd egg collection in our quest for a sibling (age 40) and this time they have upped the stims so I’m worried about turning into a crazy person as they do cause mood swings for me! Also potential for a freeze all this time due to higher dose of meds.

It’s a bit of a crazy time of year for it …I’m running out excuses for upcoming events where I will be expected to be in the Christmas ‘spirit’ 🍸 but also exciting too!

anyone else on this crazy countdown to a potential Christmas miracle with me? 😊

Ahh you’ve started again, so exciting! 🤞🤞🤞I may or may not be joining you for the Christmas crazies (ours would be a FET though). Just waiting for a period to start, if it happens before 6th we’re just in time to transfer before Christmas close down. I have zero cycles so no idea if that’s likely. Just wanted to wish you tonnes of luck as ever! Xx

thanks so much! Yes I was the same if period started before the 3rd of December I was good before shutdown and I was due the 1st but it came a whole 9 days early?? No idea if that is a good or a bad sign lol

Oh I really that’s exciting your FET is near too! I don’t think I will get to transfer this year as I think the meds will tip me over the freeze all threshold but as long as I get some eggs before Santa and hopefully an embryo or two for freezing I will be really pleased!

I do hope you get in before the cut off! I had prepared myself for not getting in and enjoying Christmas so there are benefits to both scenarios 🤗 will be looking out for your updates lovely xx 💜

I’m with you, day 12 of of stims and feeling uncomfortable and very hormonal!!! I’ve got egg collection on Monday - scan and bloods today so hoping my follicles are doing well!

I’m on 400 gonal f and 250 orgalutran- I’m a bit over the injections now!

I’m 42 - interested (meaning highly anxious! 😂) about how many mature eggs I’ll get and if any fertilise and make blastocysts 🤞🤞🤞 if I do I’ll have a transfer a week tomorrow.

Are you testing embryos? I’ve gone back and forth on it but worried it’ll damage the embryos or not be accurate and don’t want to lose any I might make! Last cycle was 2015 and I only got 2 embryos, one is my son. I did a FET last year with the remaining one and it worked but I lost the baby due to chromosome issues. I just think it’s luck if the draw though 🤷‍♀️

oh Monday that’s sooooo exciting!! I hope you get the magic embryo 🤗 no we’ve decided against testing and not to push to the absolute maximum with stims but still more than ever before. Couple of reasons for not testing but the main one for us is the time it would have taken to start that process, get the results and then do a FET would be middle of next year and by that time we could have tried this way and put any back we hopefully get and give them a chance. I’m so sorry for your loss I’m sure that’s a consideration for you too with testing, I have read though that doesn’t increase your chances of any other embryos being abnormal or future issues though so I completely agree it’s more of them than not about luck and I hope it’s on both of our sides this time 🤗 wishing you lots of luck for Monday keep me updated if you feel up to it xxx

thanks for your reply! I’ve just posted for more advice but I think I feel the same as you, I just sort of want to get on with it! I’m hoping I get some Frosties so I can try again with a FET or 2 if it doesn’t work.
