Thanks xx

Hi ReciplVF.

I was and am once again on metformin. Start off with one tablet a day and then work up to three tablets a day over a couple of weeks. Mine was also for IVF. I must admit i do feel quite nauseous on them but that could be a combination of all the meds! Hope that helps xxx

Yes thank you! Good luck xx

Hi, I Started them again earlier this year, 1000mg once a day building to twice a day. To be honest, my stomach is quite weak so had terrible diarrhoea so my clinic advised one tablet a day then half a tablet the following day and alternate daily which has massively helped! Plus, I just got my BFP!! I also take Inofolic Alpha twice a day too, it’s expensive but it all seems to have helped get our bfp xxxx

Thank you, I was also taking omega3 fish oil 1000mg three times a day, conceive plus two capsules a day and fertile one CoQ10 600mg four capsules a day, i started four weeks before cycle3 started so had about 2mths on them! Wishing you the best, avoid pineapple, it’s not good for pcos, I had McDonald’s on transfer day, it could be the £5 I spent on fries on hundreds I spent on supplements, I’ll never know but just so, so, so grateful!!! Good luck and baby dust in journey Xxxx

HelloI took metformin for a couple of years and honestly absolutely hated it. I started off on 500mg per day and slowly worked my way up to 2000mg per day.

The side effects were instant sickness, constant vomiting, diarrhea and migraines.

My dosage was changed several times and in the end I just gave up taking it and after losing weight, I didn't need it anymore.

It’s bloody horrible isn’t it!! I was on it years ago but had to come off, just couldn’t handle the sickness and diarrhoea!! X

Just picked up the prescription today - the doctor at the clinic bizarrely asked me if I had a specific dose in mind?! I said no so he has prescribed 1 week at 500mg, 1 week at 2 x 500mg then 3 x 500mg a day after that. Can’t help but think the doctors agreed to give me it and all it’s side effects to shut me up 😂xx

Hi, I took Metformin for years and have recently started it again. I'm prescribed 2 tablets per day but I actually only take one because I found that one tablet regulates my cycle and managed the other symptoms of PCOS and 2 makes me feel quite bleurgh! So you might find that it's a bit trial and error xx

Yes, I have to take one after each meals (so 3 per day) The first week on it they gave me 1 per day, the second week they gave me 2 and from the third week they gave me 3. The first week I felt nauseous, now I’m totally fine!
