So my last post I explained I was told on my baseline scan I have cysts on my ovaries, fluid in my one remaining tube and some fluid in my womb. I was convinced surgery was my only way forward.
however, me being me and so used to this journey I did some investigating. So my scans over the last year have showed an intermittent blockage in my tube, sometimes I go for a scan it’s showing fluid and then sometimes it’s not. This didn’t seem right to me, surly if I have a blockage it would always be there (I’m not complaining that it’s coming and going) so anyways I worked out that any baseline scan during or after my period but before ovulation showed a clear tube and anything after ovulation showed a blockage. I explained this to my specialist and he said ‘ that’s the cleverest thing a patient as ever said to me’ he said he believes that some hydrosalpinx can come and go. He said as my gyne said no more laps for now as it will cause more damage to my polycystic ovaries and my endo he’s saying no need to cancel FT and he has given the go ahead to start on my next cycle which is starting next week.
I feel like my angels are watching over me. I feel so happy with this result and I’m hoping my little 3BB sticks and completes our little special ivf family.

Great news! I sometimes feel like we know more about IVF than our consultants, not in a bad way though but sometimes we see things they miss. It's like a good team work with the right consultant 😍😍😍All the best of luck with the next stage yayy 🤞🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
yes I totally agree! At the end of the day we just want to make our suffering as less painful as possible. I hope your recovering the best you can be, I’ve seen your post you have had a tough time. All the best going forward, you got this! xxx ♥️
Hey @Faith103 this is a really helpful post. I had a failed IVF cycle in December. I had a Hycosy in Sept, bilateral tubes nothing to be seen.
The Friday before my egg collection a nurse found a hydrosalpinx, it was seen during egg collection. They put it down to potentially the stims/meds & asked me to come back for a scan.
I had the scan in Jan, to which again nothing was there - but as she scanned me she saw the tubes filling. This seems totally bonkers to me, i'm having another Hycosy in March. I don't understand it? Could the Dr shed any light as to why they come and go, are they damaged or not?
I’ve had another failed transfer since this post. I’m under the gyne now awaiting to have a lap so they can check inside what is happening. It’s so confusing because some drs are saying it’s blocked and then other times it’s clear. It doesn’t make any sense.
It’s upsetting too as i feel like I’ve wasted 2 embyros. Your situation sounds similar. It just seems like we are not getting a definite answer to what is happening which is frustrating as we don’t know what to correct.
