FISH sperm genetic test

Hi lovelies, I hope everyone is okay this Friday. For those of you know me, I've been around these forums for a little while now, having progressed through 3 own egg cycles and 1 known donor cycle without success (2 chemical pregnancies and 2 miscarriages).

We are now looking at going to Alicante for a guarantee donor programme and have just had our first consultation with the doctor today. One of her first comments was that she felt my husband should have a FISH sperm genetic test - as i've had miscarriage both naturally, via IVF and via donor cycle.

Apart from being slightly annoyed that no other doctor has mentioned this to me, I'm now just trying to move forward.

Has anyone else had this test and know how hard it is to get it done? Any advice would be appreciated.

My husband hasn't done this test himself but I've looked into it previously. The Doctor's Laboratory offers it under the name 'Sperm Aneuploidy test' and a urologist or andrologist should be able to order it for you. You could also order it through Fertilysis (fertilysis.com/tests/chromo....

Did your doctor mention what they'll do if your husband's results come back abnormal? Do they advise moving straight to donor sperm or are there other interventions they would recommend first?

hey thanks so much for your help! They advised they would just rely on PGTA testing of embryos. They didn't mention donor sperm...
