Egg Collection done

hi, I had my egg collection yesterday 10 eggs were collected had the call this morning & 4 matured & only 1 fertilised!

Im feeling deflated & like it’s all over already! Is there any success stories out there? Xx

Oh I'm sorry Fairytale it's so disappointing when you feel you have a good number of eggs collected. On 2 of my rounds I only had 1 egg fertilised and both made it to a 5 day blastocyst so definitely still in it and could have something to transfer. I know it makes it easier if you have a back up frosty but it really does only take the 1 embryo so everything crossed for you xx

Thank you for your reply! My head is just going crazy! Trying to distract myself until I know more. Get another update tomorrow. Just want the embryo back where it belongs.

Hey Fairytale, so sorry you're going through this, it's such a shock after getting a good number of eggs! I had 13 eggs and got the call to say only one fertilised we were absolutely devastated. That one embryo made it to a top quality blast at day 5 and I'm currently in the 2ww. It's too early to tell if it's a success but I'm glad the one embryo kept fighting to day 5. I have everything crossed for you x

Hi Fairytale, I had 3 egg collections and only ever had 1 egg that I could implant. (2 collections I had zero fertilised eggs 😕!)Anyway that 1 egg is now 10 months old 😊

We worked out that for us it was the fertilisation stage that wasn’t ‘working’ as the implant & pregnancy happened like clockwork. We only ever needed that 1 egg - I hope it’s the same for you Xx
