Anyone else in the 2WW ? My official test date is 06.09.22 but my period is due before that (3 days!!!)
Had my transfer just now! I’m so happy it went well but already dreading the wait. I’m off work next week so I plan to just do some fun activities / catching up with with friends etc. I haven’t told anyone this time (personal choice) but sometimes it’s nice to talk! 🤞🏻

Hi HelenJudi1 I’m with you in the tww! I transferred on Weds but my clinic say test on day 15, so OTD is 8 September.
It’s my 9th transfer so it’s been a tough road. This was my last one in the freezer and lowest grade (4BB/c) so finding hope a hard thing to cling onto. I’ve transferred better grades and no joy, but then I guess you never know.
Keep posting how you get on. I’m working through the tww and no major plans 🙂
Glad to have a 2WW buddy! My clinic do testing on day 10 - this transfer has thrown me all out because I feel it was super late. My period is due (and I’m usually quite regular) on Tuesday! And test day is the following Tuesday! I did question my clinic but they said they can only go by what my bloods tell them and transfer day was right based on my hormone levels… trying to have faith! I’m due back to work on Monday so I might do a test (if AF hasn’t arrived) on Sunday night - but I don’t know if that’s super early…
A woman I know had no success with her A grades (I think she had 2) and she tried her last one which was a C and that’s now her little boy so who knows! I think if they’re good enough to freeze and thaw then there’s every chance!
Presumably you are on some form of progesterone? If so it shouldn’t matter when your period is due as the progesterone should hold off any bleeding.
I’ve had natural and medicated FETs before but either way I’ve had progesterone from 5 days before transfer. This is a medicated one so I took norethisterone first,, then after a bleed had a scan to make sure my lining was thin. At that point started progynova for 10 days, then another scan to check lining was thick enough & trilaminar (mine was 8mm) and then started progesterone. I have pessaries and Lubion, plus clexane and for this transfer, prednisolone.
I hope this is my lucky one but after the 8 before it failed it’s hard to believe this could be different.
I don’t test early but that’s personal choice. I think the ideal is test on OTD, if not then waiting to at least 9dp5dt should give fair indication?
No I’m not on any medication, I wasn’t with my one success either. No progesterone or anything. I just had an internal scan before the transfer yesterday to check my womb lining - they didn’t say any sizes, only that it was fine. I’ve never tested early before either if I’m honest but if I make it to Monday I don’t want my period to catch me unawares at work, would rather just know. We shall see, each day as it comes.
I really don’t know why sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t! My first round of ivf, my first transfer took and that’s not my toddler but the ones I’ve had since then haven’t! 🤷🏻♀️
Yes, there is so much science with ivf but it feels that you also need some luck on your side. I don’t think there’s such an expression as ninth time lucky but I hope to start one!
Fingers crossed for a 9th time lucky for you and 3rd time for me! 🤞🏻You never know! 🤞🏻 Although, I have sneaking suspicion AF is going to arrive tomorrow right on schedule- thats how my body feels today.
I'm nearing the end of my tww, bloods tomorrow eek! No symptoms other than the usual progesterone induced ones, cramping, sore boobs etc. The wait is so hard but you've got the right mentality around planning nice things to do and keeping distracted. I am wishing you all the luck in the world for this one!! 🤞 Xx
