Can high doses of Stimulation medication impact on embryo quality?

So in my first two cycles all fertilised eggs got to blastocyst (although they weren’t all frozen).

Two years later, age 36, my dose of meriofert was doubled. I was put on 450iu Meriofert and 3 of my 5 fertilised eggs died on/before day 3. Fortunately my other two good/ok looking day 3 embryos got to blastocyst..

I’m wondering, can high doses of medication impact on embryo quality?

I would be interested to know this! I had one consultant tell me it’s a number game and another tell me higher doses mean more embryos but worse quality.

Hi LadyM. The stims are to create more and larger follicles on your ovaries, so don't have a direct affect on your eggs. Fertilising the eggs is where problems could occur, as some eggs may not be mature enough, or sperm may not be the best?? Sperm fragmentation is sometimes looked into. Speak to your embryologist.
