First cycle taking Letrozole.

Hello,

I’ve just finished my first course of letrozole, I took for 5 days at 5mg per day.

Today, after finishing the course on Tuesday and my period finishing Wednesday, I went in for my first scan, unfortunately it didn’t look as though my ovaries were reacting much yet.

I’m booked in for another scan on Monday as the nurse felt it may have been a bit premature seeing anything.

I just wonder what the experience was for others on their first cycle taking letrozole?

Thanks Diane, this gives me a lot of comfort. I came out of my scan really deflated.

Hi. I bet you were, but just remember you have definitely got one decent ovary to have a good go at if having IVF/ICSI! Diane

hi, I took 5mg same as you but without monitoring. I see BFP as of today so it worked. I had ectopic pregnancy last year and couldn't conceive for a year after until Letrozole so it works. Good luck!

A huge congratulations to you!! Wishing you a very happy and healthy pregnancy.

I too have just had a BFP. Keeping all my fingers crossed for this one after a CP first time around.
