DE waiting times ❤️

Hi all,

Having now made the decision to move onto DE I’m getting increasingly impatient to get started 😂 ahh the joys of perpetual waiting!

We have found a clinic in the UK that we are really happy with and have began the process of being matched with a donor. The only snag is we have been given a 6 month waiting time.

I’m starting to wonder if I should have shopped around more. My question is has anyone who used a UK clinic been matched sooner than the waiting time given?

Just looking for experience with UK clinics ❤️❤️❤️

Why is waiting so agonising!!! 😆

I remember that so well, the wait is probably worth the finacial saving but I got too impatiant and moved the LWC and LEB. (its horrible how the lack of control feels and affects you) After making that decision we chose our donor and had transfer within a couple of months and I'm pleased to say it work first time and our little miricle is 20 weeks old :-)

Thank you, it’s so tempting to open up the playing again and look elsewhere. We really want fresh eggs and my current clinic offers them at a really reasonable price so I expect that finances will have to make me wait! Congratulations on your little one ❤️

Hey lovely, fab to see you back. When we went donor we chose our clinic because they had a max 12 week wait time to be matched .. but we didn’t realise there was then a six month wait. In the end it wouldn’t have ended up that long but our donor dropped out so we had to find another! 🙄 I think they say six months to give them time to do all the tests on the donor, prep them, do the cycle, and then start on you and your tests and prep etc. i know all clinics are different but ours wouldn’t do anything out of order, I wanted to get my tests done but they wouldn’t until we had embryos etc., I got quite frustrated whilst waiting for second donor so started shopping round but found even egg banks had similar wait times when it came to actually transferring due to covid backlog etc. i guess that’s a long winded way of saying I would stick with your clinic - it will go by in no time. Keep us updated and heaps of luck xx

I did the same as Lou …

I knew if I was using donor eggs I wanted to pregnant immediately. I had been through too much and wanted a baby right now !!!

I researched and found the London Egg Bank. Hundreds of frozen eggs ready and waiting. You can choose from so many and be very selective from appearance to education You can have a browse through their database here to get a feel for how it works.

londoneggbank.com/donor-sea...

If you buy from here ( I believe it’s the UK,s largest bank ) then you have to use the London Women’s clinic for the transfer. ( who were fab )

I throughly enjoyed the process of choosing my donor. Sooo quick and easy. I think I made the first call in Jan and was pregnant in March. I believe there is a 75pc chance of life birth with each bunch of eggs you buy. My total cost for everything including freeze of spare embies was around £14,000. That was a large batch of 10 ( they gave me 11 as had an odd number ) eggs but they sell them in smaller batches too for less.

There really is no need to wait !!

Thank you for the info 😊 so pleased you had a great experience. Did your costs include any FET? My current clinic for the same costs include 2x fresh donor rounds ( minimum of 6 eggs but they allow you to use all eggs that are collected) and includes all FET. I really don’t think I can find a better deal, so going to have to buckle in for the waie 😂 my hope is although they said 6 months my hope is they’ll match sooner 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I am with a UK clinic and the wait to get access to their frozen egg bank was 3 months. The stats looked similar for fresh v frozen and the process very straightforward. I found the perfect match and can’t wait to get to transfer (hopefully in August) so I totally get the impatience lol Best of luck Xx

All the luck in the world for your transfer 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 I think for us it’s the if it didn’t work first time we would struggle to find the money to try again. The clinic I’ve found the deal includes 2 x fresh rounds and all FET. Really hope your BFP is just round the corner ❤️

Thank you so much, it has felt like a neverending journey and at times that I will be collecting my pension before I have a successful pregnancy 🙈 It sounds like your clinic has a good deal. It is crazy how fast the money disappears in this process. Am not sure what I’ll do if this round doesn’twork. But fingers crossed for BFPs all round and for all the waiting and anguish to be worth it 🤞🏻❤️ xx
