Hi so as most of you know we are having twins and so far it’s been a very stressful time… with pain, bleeding late OHSS… yesterday on scan showed 1st baby with a heartbeat of 132bpm which I was told is perfect….then the 2nd with a lower heartbeat if 92bpm and quite a bit smaller in size….
Has anyone had any similar numbers that can shed some light on what’s going on with them numbers or success please
Thanks Anna xxx

Hello, just to share my experience - although everyone is different. In 2021 I had 2 embryos transferred. I ordered private bloods which made me suspect twins. At the early NHS clinic scan (8 weeks?) they immediately found one baby with a really strong heartbeat, and then another with a weaker heartbeat, measuring about a couple of weeks behind, which they didn't think woul do make it. I bled from around 6 to 13 weeks (light but constant). It was identified at the 12 week scan that the smaller baby hadn't made it (I think they call it a vanishing twin). I went on to have a successful pregnancy and my daughter is nearly 11 months :)I can't comment on the heart rates as my clinic doesn't measure that. But I'm hoping your smaller baby will catch up as I've heard that often happens. All the best and hoping for you xx
