Follow up to my last post, I've had two HCG blood tests and the first one came at 65 and the second one which was done 2 days later has come just slightly reduced, yet my clinic has told me to continue with my medication??
I don't understand why? I've asked them and they said its "best practise".
Does this make sense to you? Ofcourse i will have low levels of hcg and test positive if its a recent chemical at week 5/6/7. Who knows when it happened! But ridiculous to keep me on meds for longer if theres no pregnancy but low level hormones!!
I've been told to do a pregnancy test in a weeks time today and if its still positive will call the EPU.
SORRY BUT MAKE IT MAKE SENSE FOR ME?! The levels aren't high enough for a viable pregnancy/ectopic none of that.
This feels so draining at this point.

I think clinics always have to give the benefit of the doubt, and if it’s a positive ‘it’s a positive etc etc’ and so they can’t risk you stopping meds and then a miracle happening but it being ruined because you stopped. It’s like the ‘scan in one week’ or two weeks thing, sadly it’s just standard practice and sadly a lot of us have had to go through what you are. Tbh a few times I’ve ignored their advice if I’ve known it’s not going anywhere and stopped my meds, but other times if I’ve had hope or needed hope I’ve carried on. I don’t advocate stopping obviously just in case - like your docs. Huge hugs lovely xx
It's so hard and I know you just want to get it over with and start to move on emotionally and physically. I've been there. The only thing I can say that might help is something my Dr said to me in a similar situation - we're talking about a life. We have to give it every possible chance.
Sending you big hugs, I know how much of a headf*ck this all is xxx
