Against all odds, a blastocyst

Well, after only ONE of my seven eggs managed to fertilize (jeez!!), it managed to make it to a day 5 blastocyst. I kind of can't believe it? It's frozen now. There's no way I'm transferring while still getting over Covid. And I should try not to get my hopes up too much since the cycle itself was so odd. I plan to take a few months off actually to take care of my health before transferring because I am SO wrecked after two years straight of IVF, multiples miscarriages, major surgery, yada yada. I need some time to feel better, to get in better shape, to just get healthier in general. In know it comes down to the genetics of the embryo, and so far we have not been lucky, but...better than being totally out.

Awww that’s wonderful news! 😊 I think taking time off before transfer sounds like good idea. Get your self mentally and physically prepared. And maybe take the time to set up when and how - will you take time off over the 2ww and plan lots of distractions… Or will work be a suitable one? That kind of thing. 🥰 Enjoy your break!!
