Hi all I’m back for one last go. Been so lucky a few years ago to conceive twins but I just don’t feel done and would like to try one last time. This is the final shot now .. I know we can’t discuss clinics here but could anyone who has had successful ivf at over 40 private message about what clinics they used here and abroad .. I’d be so grateful thanks x also any other advice ie supplements they uses etc ? Thank you

I think micronized DHEA helped me conceive my son at 43 (and there is very good medical evidence that it increases live births in older women..)

hey just wanted to know where you have evidence for DHEA helping ? I was asked to stop this supplement a few months ago due to the effect it was having on my liver.

the main evidence comes from this publication: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/313...

it is an analysis of 8 good quality trials, and shows an improvement in live birth with DHEA versus no DHEA. For a fertility trial, this is pretty awesome as improvements in live births are quite hard to prove and usually trials just measure the clinical pregnancy rate which is easier to achieve because it is only the appearance of a heartbeat on ultrasound, and many things can happen to the pregnancy after that point.

what dose were you on? could it have been possible to reduce your dose? even 50 mg/day has been shown to help (vs the 75 mg/day studied in the trials)
