Hi all, looking for some advice/not sure if this is a silly question. It’s my first cycle of IVF (my partner has gone through it before though) and due to OHSS I had to have a freeze all. We are very lucky to have a number of Day 5 blastos to freeze but I was wondering how storage costs are generally calculated? Is it one annual fee to cover all embryos in storage or is the fee calculated per embryo stored? Any advice gratefully received.

Hi, not a silly question at all! We also had to have a freeze all. The cost covers all embryos no matter how many you have xx
Not sure if this varies by clinic but mine charges a vitrification fee per round, then one annual storage fee no matter how many blastocysts. The vitrification fee I think is waived for a medically necessary freeze all Xx
Thanks so much for your reply too. I think this looks like it’s the case for us having read the paperwork properly but I suddenly had a bit of a panic!! Xxx
