I just wanted to share an update from my viability scan this afternoon.
I'm 7+2 today (or +3 according to the clinic computer?) and we saw not just one but two strong heartbeats this afternoon! Both babies are measuring well with one a bit smaller than the other. But the consultant was very happy with sizes and the heartbeats! And I think I've seen on here before that one can measure a bit behind and be okay.
We're still in absolute shock. Especially after our viability scan last year going the way it did. Who knew there could be something IN a sac, hah.
Unfortunately we're not quite out of the woods as one of the sacs is too small. My consultant said with a strong heartbeat it might catch up so all fingers crossed. We're back in 2 weeks for another scan to check in.
There's also a couple of very small/thin lines of blood near each sac so I've been told to expect some more spotting while these settle and to take it easy! Thank you for your support when that happened on Wednesday. It's just so stressful.
All in all, feeling hopeful but definitely taking one day / step at a time. I'll move any further updates and pregnancy related questions into the other group but I'll be here if I can help anyone else in any other way!

Thank you!! 2 embryos. They were our last two from our fresh cycle last year and not the best quality (and it was our 5th transfer so it felt like am easy decision). I'm still quite worried and trying to prepare that we might lose the little twin but I wouldn't change anything. Xx

I am trying to tell myself the same every day that I am grateful to be pregnant for another day! My scan is on the 12th of April. I am trying to take 1 day at a time at the moment! 🙏🏼🤞xxx
Best of luck for the 12th! Will be thinking of you. Yes, definitely taking one day at a time alongside plenty of distractions help make things a bit easier while we wait. And enjoying the fact that each day is one step further along 🤞💕 xx

*Sensitive happy update alert*: I know there's a long road ahead but we had our follow up scan today (9+2) and it looks like the twin with the smaller sac has caught up! The sac isn't so cramped and both twins measured 9+3 with strong heartbeats. Watching them wiggle their arms and legs was surreal! I hope that helps a bit for anyone searching for twins with small gestational sacs.
The haematoma have also shrunk and are mostly all gone.
I don't think I'll relax fully for a while but I'm just really pleased as I'd prepared for the worst today. 🤞💕
Ah best of luck ❤️ !! And thanks for asking! XxI'm getting along really well, thanks. Maybe not so much in this heat - my feet are huge and swollen, but otherwise have felt incredibly lucky throughout apart from our early bleeds (pre 12 weeks). Fingers crossed it stays that way.
I'm 26 weeks at the moment and both babies are growing well - so our last chance embryos have done a great job! Which is amazing and takes some of the stress out of twin pregnancies. The bump is also next level big for 26 weeks but I'm still feeling mobile and walking a lot! I'd highly recommend seeing a prenatal physio early-ish on as it sets you up well.
It took a very long time to accept things because I was so nervous but it's a lot better now. I'm very grateful for everything.

Thank you for your lovely reply! 💜 It seems to be going to slowly. I was doing quite well but had a bit of a meltdown today. My friends wedding is next week so busy and occupied with that. Fingers crossed for my OTD. Hope you have a good rest of your weekend and put your feet up!
Aw thank you. I'm glad you've got your friends wedding to keep you occupied! Hopefully the last days will speed by. It's honestly one of the hardest times I've ever had so definitely don't feel bad about a meltdown or two!!
