So I had a 3+ on my clear blue when I was 5 + 3 weeks, I’m now 6 weeks and I’ve just done another and it’s gone back down to 2-3. I did a first response and that’s still a really strong line and barely any control line but I’m just worried now that somethings up, why would it go from 3+ back down to 2-3? Is it because it’s an afternoon test or I’ve not held my wee long enough? I did one the other night and it was still 3+ which is making me think it doesn’t matter that I’ve just done the test. I feel physically sick😢

Lucy I honestly wouldn't worry about the digital tests they are very known for errors. Take comfort in your strong line on the FRER which are more reliable.
When is your scan? I'm 6+2 so I'm right there with you and I know how hard it is to wait for the scan. But the tests now will be much less reliable 💕💕💕
Thank you for your reply, I just worry cause of my lack of symptoms and the pain in my back and pelvis I’ve been having and that because I’m on progesterone I won’t know if I’ve miscarried. I’m having a viability scan through my clinic on Monday babe xxx
I know, I get it believe me xx
But that strong positive on the line test is more reliable. I have everything crossed for you for Monday, I'm on Tuesday! 💕🤞
Hey lovely,
I had the same thing happen to me. Tested 2-3 weeks and then 3 days later got a 1-2 weeks so I understand how you feel, I was devastated and thought it was all over. I had also tested at a different time of day. I’m now 35 weeks and baby is fine so try not to freak out (impossible I know!). Those tests are not that accurate, my best advice would be to stop testing. Do you have a scan booked in?xx
Thank you for your reply babe. It makes me feel better to hear that, although I’m sorry to hear it happened to you too. I feel relieved to see my other test so dark. I know I need to stop and I had done for a day or two then I just felt like I needed to test again and this happened😩
Yes babe I have a scan booked for Monday xxx
Hi! After the hcg rises to a certain number the clear blue won't be too accurate, it can even give you a negative answer because the hcg is soo high that it confuses it. Personally I won't stress too much, that dye stealer is every pregnant woman's dream. Stop testing and enjoy every day of being pregnant. And don't get too scared at your scan. Probably you won't see a heartbeat this early, you'll see the yolk sack and a fetal pole.
Thank you lovely. I have read that about the hcg being so high and getting confused. I just need a positive mental attitude x
Oooft that's one strong FRER!! please if you can stop testing...I'm not sure I'd you've heard of the hook effect but it's when the hCG gets so high it confuses the tests.....check it out.xx
