Hi I would like others opinions what causes chemical pregnancy and is it because it didn't implant? What are your thoughts?

Why does chemical pregnancy happen was the embryo not implanted?
A chemical pregnancy is when a pregnancy goes to implant but fails at second implantation stage - usually at 4 and a half weeks pregnant. Usually they are thought to be likely a chromosome issue with the embryo which makes the body reject the embryo. It is nothing you did or didn’t do wrong. Unfortunately they are not uncommon about 25% of pregnancies end in a chemical pregnancy. But just because you have one chemical pregnancy doesn’t mean another pregnancy couldn’t be successful. I had my 2 year old 9 month old daughter after our first chemical pregnancy and my 2 week old daughter after a late loss and 2 early losses. There is hope. I’m sorry for your loss Xx
Hi! A chemical means that it implanted but it stopped developing in the early stages and didn't had the strength to implant further.
I had a chemical in December before even reaching 5 weeks. My nurse told me that in most cases it happens because the embryo had cromozomial abnormalities but sometimes it can happen from low progesteron or from any exterior factors.
I just want to add I had 4 chemical pregnancies with pgd tested eggs so it’s not always because the embryo isn’t normal. They thought my body was rejecting the pregnancy if it got even a whiff of one. In the end I took strong anti-rejection meds and I am currently 20 weeks with a baby girl so don’t give up hope 💕
Congrats! Did you take prednisone and Lovenox?
Thanks! Yes i took prednisone and Clexane and aspirin. I had taken them for all the other transfers too. I had also done Intralipids. For this one i also did 2 months of Lupron Depot and Letrozole (apparently to reset the lining) directly before transfer, and hydroxychloroquine (starting a few months before transfer) and then starting on transfer day until 8 weeks I also took Cyclosporine (an anti rejection med). It was a lot but it worked thankfully. Chemicals are cruel! I hope you get your lasting bfp on your next try🤞
