I’m stuck !! I just had a 9 weeks miscarriage transferred 2 AA5 blasts ..
had my follow up appointment with consultation yesterday I have one more day 6 blast left to transfer grade 3Bb .. consultant said it’s only got a 35 percent chance and he would be surprised if it stuck .. he suggested another cycle ..
so I don’t know now weather to do another cycle or transfer the not so great embryo I’m 38 ..
has anyone any positive stories with a low graded day 6 embryo ..

Hi Betty. I'd do another cycle honestly. It's always best to bank a few spare embryos if you can afford it! You can still transfer that embryo but you'll have a few back ups too.
It depends on your age, if age isn’t on your side I would get on and do another cycle
I would say though I wouldn’t worry too much about what your consultant says. 3bb was my best ever embryo! And I know loads of people who have got pregnant with a lot ‘worse’ remember the grading is a snapshot in time and no reflection of what happens the next day or day after etc. my friend had 8 transfers - her two children came from her two last (and worst) embryos, and she had 6bfns from her top six embryos!
I'm 39 and 14 weeks pregnant with a 3BA. I do have a day 6 frozen embryo. My treatment was on nhs so didn't get choice of doing another round for banking purposes. X
I was told that 35% is basically the chance of any embryo working. Maybe due to my age but still, I’ve seen a lot of people have success with this grade embryo and it’s very much pot luck - my 5AA didn’t stick but my 5AB did - no knowing why
I’m in a similar situation. I had 1 embryo left from my 1st round (I’m now on round 5). It wasn’t as good quality (clinic don’t grade anymore, but you can tell from the photo). I’m 39. I was weighing up whether to transfer it or to do another fresh. I decided to transfer it as you never know! Currently in 2ww. My clinic say that they wouldn’t have frozen it if it wasn’t good quality, so don’t get too hung up on grading. Best of luck!
