Egg collection done now the nervous wait 😬

Just had my first egg collection and feeling very sore now. 18 eggs collected which they tell me is really good at 44 so now to nervously await the call tomorrow to see if we get embryos 🤞🤞

Hi! What an amazing number you got there. Try and drink 3 litres of water and some milk so you won't get constipated. All that gas can make your ovaries painful. Fingers crossed you get some sticky embryos!

Hi Happy. That's a lot of chooks so well done you! Make sure you drink plenty of water and don't get constipated as your ovaries might feel a bit sore and you don't want any poo bumping them. Hope all goes well with fertilisation. Diane

Thank you 😊 I’m drinking loads as I’m higher risk for OHSS, hopefully can avoid it. In a lot of pain at the minute after egg collection but was told that’s because I had so many follicles. Just resting in bed and hopefully will feel better tomorrow x

Hi. Oh dear! You are quite safe to take regular paracetamol unless something else has been ptrscribed. No anti inflammatories such as ibuprofen. At least 3L water daily and keep am eye on your urine output and colour. Don;t get constipated. Have a rest, but walk around too. Hope you soon feel better. Diane

They gave me codeine at the clinic and advised co-codamol so just been able to take some, hopefully the pain will ease with this. It’ll all be worth it if we get some viable embryos 😊🤞😊

Congratulations thats an amazing number I'm also 44 and only get 4 with 1 going back in! Please can you tell me what they gave you I was on menapur and synoral nasel spay ( I think that's what its called) did you do anything? Accupunture etc. You must be SO happy 🤗

Thank you 😊 Our consultant recommended we try IVF with own eggs because my AMH was 46 which he said is very rare at my age. I was on 300iu of Menopur and Fyremadel. I had to have a non HCG trigger shot because of being his risk of OHSS as I had over 30 follicles. I’ve been having acupuncture for the last year too.

Just keeping everything crossed some have fertilised, awaiting the call this morning 🤞

Just had the call from the lab, 12 of the 18 eggs were mature and 11 of those have fertilised 😊😊 now keeping everything crossed we get some to blastocyst. Next call on Monday afternoon 🤞🤞
