High White blood cells

Hi guys, I’m still waiting on my HCG results but my WBC have come back at 15.2 - I’m really nervous now because I do have raised NK cells and if I don’t get them controlled it might be all over. I’m taking predisilone and the clinic have put it up to 25mg - I did intralipids also. Is there anything else I can do? 🥺

I don't know much about this but I do know my white blood cells increased soon after a positive test while on prednisolone and as far as I know it's the steroids that can cause it so might not be something problematic and just a side effect but again I don't know much about it - just the consultant mentioned that when I asked and my friend who is a lab scientist working in haematology x

Thank you for your reply. I thought that predisilone was to help bring it down. It’s all so confusing isn’t it. I hope it comes down a little. Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

Thank you... I think if you have a Google you'll see that steroids increase your white blood cell counts... The NK cells are not quite the same or perhaps they form part of the white blood cells I'm not sure but I was also on steroids to reduce the activity of my NK cells (rather than the count/number of them) ..I'm sure your clinic can advise much better but just if it offers reassurance that mine were also raised after positive hcg but didn't prevent things continuing whereas I had a few chemical pregnancies previously when not on steroids - of course I don't know if they made the difference but the increased white blood count (not sure of the number) didn't seem to worry the doctor when I asked about it. X
