Medicated FET protocol - too short?

Hello,

Looking for any advice please about how my protocol length is looking as worried it seems a bit short.

I started oestrogen (Elleste) meds for my transfer on day 2 of my cycle. We are hoping to do FET on short protocol. I had my day 9 scan today and my lining has increased from approx 6.1 to 7.1. The nurse who scanned (my consultant was off sick) read out a couple of readings until she said she got a better angle of my uterus and said it ‘averages’ at 7.1. Never had a FET before and never heard of taking ‘average’ measurement for lining so it’s made me feel a bit confused and therefore anxious 😬

I have been asked to increase my oestrogen tablets from 3 x day to 4 x day to help lining grow. Have my next can booked in for this Friday which is day 12 of my cycle.

I asked the nurse today who thought I may be looking at the transfer day on Monday which is only day 15 of my cycle…of course it depends how my scan goes but it seems very soon.

(I am transferring day 3 embryo)

I am not sure if I am getting confused and need to forget the days in my cycle as I am medicated FET?

Any thoughts appreciated 🙂

Hey! We are currently on the same protocol/days. I had my lining scan on Monday (17/01), starting progesterone on Saturday and transfer is on 27th (day 5 embryo). Does seem strange to do the transfer on Monday?! Maybe because it’s a day 3 embryo?! 🤔

Thanks for replying; we are very close on dates 😊I knew I’d be a bit shorter as transferring a day 3 but from the schedule I got initially, it looked like we’d be aiming for starting progesterone on day 15 and transferring on day 18. Whereas they think it may be transfer on day 15 now and starting progesterone on day 12…

What day did you start taking oestrogen?

Yes you too! This is my 2nd FET and I’ve had 2 miscarriages. I’ve sort of detached myself now from the process. Best of luck to you too xx
